More tech I use every day

Today, I published my video outlining the tech I use every day, but many of the little accessories that make the big products work better didn't make the cut. So, just for you, buds, here are all the little things (some tech, some not) that keep my world going 'round. Please share yours in the comments for all to benefit from!

• TeraBiter - Halo

I wrote about these in my newsletter a few weeks ago, but I gotta talk about them again because it has been the best $30 I have spent all year. It simply gives your hard drive magsafe abilities for better mounting on a phone or laptop. For me, it has been great for editing on a plane when there is limited "desk" space to put a drive on, for moving from room to room without having to juggle a handing drive, or for filming ProRes RAW footage on an iPhone when you need an SSD plugged in. But if $30 sounds steep, I think you could easily make one with these magnetic circles.

• Sonos Era 100 Speaker

I have always dreamed of having a Sonos system. I love the sound quality, the build of the products, and the ability to play music without having to turn anything on or deal with pairing. However, currently, I have just this one speaker in my kitchen, and I love it. My next goal is to upgrade my aging sound bar and subwoofer. But that is going to cost $$$!

• Magnetic Hooks

In my video today, I mentioned that I wish the MacBook Pro had even more ports. And that is because I got cables for DAYS. So, to combat the problem of all these cables laying loose around me, I bought these magnetic hooks for my most used cables to hang under my desk. It was an 11/10 decision and an easy way to keep my used cables within reach.

• Elgato Cam Link 4k

I mostly use this to improve the quality of my video calls, but I also once used it to record some gameplay on my Xbox in a pinch. It's a simple way to stream any video right to your computer, and it comes in handy a lot!

• Pixel Stand (1st Gen)

I got this wireless charging stand years ago, but it's still compatible with all Pixel devices for the hands-free assistant and slideshow features. It also works for standby mode on iOS. The charging puck is a little high for most wireless earbuds, though. Either way, it's cheap and looks clean, and I love it. There are many cheap ones on eBay, too.

• DSNY Trash Can Pen Holder

I can't believe I spent $50 on this, but I love its look! And since you can't take the money with you when you go, why not?

• Anker 100W Charger

It's small, powerful, and has multiple ports--you really can't ask for more.

• SD card holder and reader

My former coworker but now full-time friend, Vjeran, sent me this for my birthday last year, and I LOVE it. It is small and sleek, with an admittedly slow built-in SD card reader that has come in handy in a pinch. It also makes a perfect gift for anyone who uses SD cards.

• Pancro Lens Cleaner + "Pocket Rocket" Dust Blower

If you own lenses, you should own these.

• Peak Design Field Pouch

This is my go-to bag for holding cables and hard drives. And although I wish it were slightly larger, it looks nice, feels premium, and acts as a fanny pack via the hooks around the back when I need one in a pinch.

• Peak Design Capture Clip

My favorite way to carry my camera for easy access. As with all Peak Design products, shop the companies used section first.
