Upcoming Compilation, Webtoons-Ready, and 2 Stories!

Upcoming Compilation
I said I was working on a couple of compilations as of late!

First was a Part 2 of Brian Being A Terroriser, since a lot of people seemed quite interested in me putting together another Terroriser compilation (those have typically been my most popular uploads unsurprisingly!).

Another compilation I was working on, one which might surprise those that are unaware, was actually a Markiplier compilation. I don't just appreciate Brian; I appreciate the content and videos of many others, including Anthony's, Nogla's, and of course Mark and Jack's!

But I also like to put together compilations that some people might not think to, ones that I know at least would entertain myself. Best of Nogla playing Minecraft? A fourzer0seven scream compilation? Best moments from Markiplier's Raft videos? These are the things that entertain me! And it does seem like a few others are also entertained by some of this content.

But yes, I have been working on both these compilations a little as of late. Early access to one of the compilations, followed by public access some days later, should be published relatively soon!

But which one will it be? You'll just have to wait and see!

Webtoons-Ready!

For those of you who don't know, Webtoons is a site/app that allows people to read a variety of comics online, especially independent ones that people will make for fun. Hunters is no different.

Again, for those of you who don't know (though I suspect most do), Hunters is a fantasy wolf comic I started in April of 2013, which now has 130+ pages after nearly 8 years. Two major things happened recently regarding the comic: (1) I decided to redraw the entire 16-page prologue, and (2) I decided to place my entire comic on Webtoons.

Problem was.....the whole comic was not yet uploaded to the site. When I created a Webtoons account, the prologue redo wasn't finished. Because of how the site was set up, I had trouble uploading and publishing certain sections. And since the entire prologue was not yet done, and important characters from there reappear in Chapter 2, I was limited in what I could publish. It was all kinds of craziness that prevented me from updating it on Webtoons.

But now that's all in the past. Because the entire prologue is refinished, meaning the entirety of the comic (the redone prologue, a finished Chapter 1, and an unfinished Chapter 2) can soon go on Webtoons for all to see.

Remaking the prologue was an awesome project because I could examine my own growth and improvement, and because the story needed it particularly in terms of dialogue and actual story information. But I am honestly glad to be getting back to the main story with undivided attention!

Original prologue (April - August 2013)

Refinished Prologue (June - October 2019, May 2020, January - April 2021)

2 Stories

Darnit, I told myself not to. I've told myself multiple times over the months and years that I should only be working on 1 novel at a time, if I work on one at all.
But clearly my mind cannot be satisfied with only doing one thing at a time. Especially if I'm constantly thinking about multiple stories at once......

Awakening is a new story I've written lately, with basically the entire trilogy (save for a few details) planned out. Currently up to Chapter 11 is finished, but again, I know what's gonna happen for the most part. It can be tricky when you start a story fresh and have ideas, but then have to deal with the minor stuff and have some trouble figuring it all out.

On the flip side, you could be using a previous story as reference to rewrite it.
And that's exactly what's happening with Legion. It's a 7-book series I've planned out for the most part (the first 4 books for sure as well as the last one......don't ask), and it's actually a story where I've already written the first book. Buuuuut there are some things I need to add, some things I need to change, and a couple things I just flat out want to remove. The first draft is the guide as I have lately been rewriting it every now and then.

And when I say rewrite, I literally mean rewrite. I handwrite my initial novel drafts before I type out the second draft.

Not completely sure why, but I've been thinking about Legion a lot lately, probably why I want to rework the entire first book. For one thing, the story has an incredibly diverse group of characters. There's a single protagonist but a fairly large supporting cast, about a dozen of which in particular get some character development and/or elaboration and/or relevance to the story. About a dozen more feel more like tertiary characters but still have their own importance.

When I say diverse I do mean it. Only 3 of these characters are American. The other characters come from all manner of different places. Even the most important and frequently mentioned / elaborated characters originate from a wide range of countries: from Kenya and Egypt to Britain and France, from Russia and Afghanistan to New Zealand and Peru.

None of this is exaggeration. I've created varying sets of characters for different stories, but this is by far the most diverse. But this isn't random; there is reason behind such an assortment, a reason which actually serves the plot a little.

I am hoping to write this story a little more frequently in the coming weeks; I always love thinking about the varying character interactions and personalities, and I think I'd love to share some of their dialogue and interactions here if I can.

Comments

Novel drafts are certainly hard to work on, especially when one is a perfectionist. I think we both know that all too well! All but 3 of my ideas came from other novels/movies/cartoons/anime, and are different enough that I'd still feel comfortable publishing it if and when I finish writing and editing them! Coming up with original ideas can be a little tricky though!

It's so great to see you doing this work! I remember trying to write my novel 16 years ago. I never got past Chapter 6 because I tried to have the perfect draft in my head. Most movies have covered my ideas these days lol
