King Kai has mentioned I needed to hand you my guest slip.” I jumped up and put the permission slip onto his table and watched him pinch a tiny stamp between his gigantic fingers. It was a normal size stamp but he was a gigantic red ogre.
He stamped my slip before asking. “It’s not very often we get guests here at other world. At least one that is alive anyway. May I ask what you have planned?” I scratched the back of my head as I answered. “Well, mostly for pleasure. I’m here to see the sights and learn as much as I can but I’m also planning to visit King Kai and see if he needs help with anything.”
He pointed at a pathway, as he mentioned. “That is the snake way. It leads to King Kai’s planet. It’s normally tradition to travel the entire thing but as a living creature, you’ll still have to eat and sleep. I wouldn’t be averse to showing you the secret portal hub if you can do a favor for me.” I was now more curious and hopeful that I would get more access to other locations I hadn’t planned on visiting from the portal hub.
“We have a deal.” I jumped up and shook hands with him as I asked. “What do you need me to do?” He handed me a note before saying. “Hand this note to the red and blue demon and follow their instructions. You can just jump off from anywhere but be careful on the landing. There are some bad things that could really hurt you if you landed on them.”
I looked at him again to see if he was trying to trick me into going to hell before I saw that he barely cared and had gone back to paperwork. As I jump off and float down through the clouds I barely have enough time to catch myself before I land on a giant mountain of spikes. I look for about an hour, just exploring the hells as I come across a tree. As I go towards it, feeling a bit peckish already I’m stopped by two separate voices yelling at me.
“Stop!” I turn to look and see a red ogre running towards me while a blue one looks out the window in my direction. The red one yells again. “What do you think you’re doing mortal? You shouldn’t be here, and you especially shouldn’t be heading towards the Ensenji tree. The fruit from that tree shouldn’t be consumed by anyone but the gods.”
I sighed as I found the two I was looking for. “Yea. King Yemma sent me with this note for you two to read. Here you go.” I handed over the letter as he got close and he read it before he ran back to the house while yelling back over his shoulder. “Stay there. I’ll be right back.” I sit and wait for about five minutes before I see the giant blue ogre trying to tip-toe his way to the tree. He loaded a burlap sack full of fruits as he tried to sneak back down to the house. Did he not realize I was looking in his direction the entire time? He shouldn’t have been making all those grunting noises as he jumped up to get the fruit if he didn’t want me to see him collect them.
The red ogre walks back out with the sack as he hands it over to me. “Here you go. Don’t look in the bag! If you do, we’ll know! Now just head that direction until you run into the wall painted like a tree. The knot at the bottom is actually a door knob that’ll take you back up to his office.” I wait a few seconds before complaining. “Why didn’t he just have me take this path down instead of jumping off and almost impaling myself on the mountain of spikes?”
I walk in that direction and the moment I’m out of view from them I grab one of the fruits from the bag and eat it. I was slightly hungry after all. My body floods with energy as the delicate sweetness overloads my body. I feel more wired than drinking ten pots of coffee and the perfect amount of full that I wouldn’t need any food for a while.
As I made my way back up and handed the bag over he looked at me out of the corner of his eye before asking. “Did you look in this bag?” I answer honestly. “Nope.” While I didn’t look in the bag, I did reach in and pull out a fruit to eat. He quickly put a smile on his face as he stood up and showed me towards the portals. On the same platform just around the corner was a clear set of portals laid near the ground with an old-looking man guarding them.
He looked up as King Yemma reached into the bag and handed him one of the fruits. His placid face slowly shifted to a smile as he ate the fruit in three bites. King Yemma didn’t explain just pointed at the portal. “This is the portal to King Kai’s planet. It is one way but… I have another suggestion.” He pulls out four fruits for me and hands them over. “It is a tradition after all to travel the snake way. With these, you should have just enough time to reach the end if you really hoof it. It took me nine months to travel it so if you have any fruit left when you reach the end, you’re more than welcome to keep them as a reward.”
I took the challenge. With my body now full of energy, it was worth it and if I could walk away with a few fruits it would help my wives tremendously to keep up with my newfound strength. I was already overwhelming the three of them as they teamed up, I needed to find some martial artists to keep up with me inside and outside the bedroom.
That was the primary goal after all, the women on Earth just couldn’t cut it and while I loved my wives they were the ones asking me to find more women so they didn’t walk funny for days after every time we made love. I run for about fifteen hours before I wonder. What’s stopping me from just flying in this direction? I could see the snake path winded around miles at a time before swinging back in this direction. How short would the path be if I just flew in this direction?
In just a few weeks of traveling this way, I came across a random building. As I’m about to enter, I think it is too random. What are the chances there is a building along this path, this might be a trap. I put my backpack onto the ground as I shrank down into my golden retriever dog form. As I walked in a person came out and tried to greet me. “Hello there. Welcome to…” She looked around, not knowing where the person she was sensing was until she looked down.
“Oh… How did a dog get-? Well, it doesn’t matter. Stay right there. I’ll be right back.” I waited for a moment before I got a bad feeling. As I started to move away the blue woman came back with a revolver and yelled at me. “Hey! Get back here! I’ll cook you up for the Snake Princess. If only you were a man!” The beauty on the woman's face faded instantly as she began firing in my direction.
I quickly ran back to my bag and picked it up before jumping off the path and flying underneath it, my doggy feet just inches away from touching. I wanted to get a read on the type of person who would have a house in the middle of the pathway but one thing did stick out to me. She mentioned a Snake Princess, and if her beauty was an indicator of her ruler. I could only be curious about what she looked like. I dropped my disguise as I made my way back towards the building as a human again.
