Weekly Update #119

Wew. Latest weekly update yet because I totally didn't forget that I still had to write this and then got distracted by a livestream of a dragon vtuber reacting to shitposts on Reddit. I'll post a teaser of TTE's new cover down below and some character art for an upcoming series to make up for it!

Anyways, blagh. This was a pretty nice and easy week until I had a bout of writer's block followed by back-to-back gallbladder attacks. It sucks, too, because I was doing so good trying to fix my sleep schedule. I was all set to stay up all day yesterday so I could sleep at night and was in the middle of writing TTE... when I had the first gallbladder attack. Then today, after I was done with everything and wanted to relax, I had another one. And, you see, my most effect tactic for dealing with gallbladder attacks is by going to sleep until they're over. So, so much for fixing my schedule.

Now, the only thing I did both yesterday and today out of the usual was drink coffee. So maybe that triggered them somehow. But at the same time, I've had coffee before and usually only had heart palpitations instead of ever having a gallbladder attack triggered by it. So, I don't know. All I do know is that these attacks are a massive pain and ate up most of my weekend. Very not nice.

But at least neither of them were as bad as the one I had a few years ago that left me in crippling pain for 3 days unable to get out of bed.

19,721 words and 26 hours. Back to the usual word count, though twice as many hours due to distractions and taking it easy.

The True Endgame

First off, new cover teaser!

That aside, yeah, this latest volume is definitely going to be purely a real life volume. It maybe has... anywhere from 2-5 chapters left before this volume will be over and then we'll be beginning some new stuff back in-game. The plot for the next volume will be a bit different from usual to keep things fresh, in a good way! At least, I think it will be in a good way. Regardless, I'm excited and looking forward to it! 

And in other news related to TTE, I already have like 5 sequel series figured out for TTE. Well, only one of them is really going to be a true sequel while the rest are sort of... sidequels. But yeah, there's going to be a whole lot of stuff built off of TTE as the foundation. Honestly, there might be like a decade worth of stories spawning from TTE at the core, but the vast majority of them will be able to be read as completely standalone things.

At this point, I think it's safe to say that TTE is like my flagship series. The plans I have for the universe in general absolutely dwarf my plans for every other series. I've already started work on two of the sidequels and very well might end up posting one of them soon-ish here. The problem is that it technically takes place after everything in TTE, so I'll have to be careful about it. Fortunately, it's probably the one that's least dependent on TTE, so I don't think there would be any legitimate spoilers aside from a couple of things that you should all know are 100% going to happen anyways.

It reminds me of that one manga with the really cute short girl and her senpai at work. There's the main series where they're not dating or anything yet and then the spinoff series after they're already married. It would be sort of like that, except - well, I won't say anything more than that.

Akorya time!

Yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say about EDO this week. It's time to give Akorya some attention. Also, to sort of build off of what I said about TTE - do keep in mind that EDO is a part of the TTE universe, so I do have something in mind as a way to sort of tie these two different sequels together in the future with a sequel series.

The Queen's Hound

Hmm. I can't think of how to say what I want to say without it being a large spoiler for anybody who hasn't read all the latest $10-ahead chapters. Anyways, I do plan on there being some more LitRPG-y parts in the next chapter. Next chapter will probably be on Tuesday again just because I'm pissed off from my gallbladder ruining my weekend, so I'd like an actual day off today (Monday).,

Lazy Dragon Queen

I'm finally moving in to finish up this volume. It already got way too long and didn't exactly do what it was supposed to do when I originally thought about what this volume would be about, but I also love the volume and wouldn't change anything about it. So, it's just gonna be how it is!

CORE

We're going to be covering some more time with the next chapter - move back to the overall big picture stuff for the chapter instead of the day-to-day stuff as the last few chapters have been. I kind of like it that way. Have chapters that cover a good amount of time while talking about the things that happened during said time while stopping at the start of the next big event that requires more specific detail. Sort of like transition chapters between major events. So, you can expect that next!

In Closing

Thank you for your continued support and thank you for dealing with me being a slow and late author! I'm going to resume editing TTE's first volume this week. I probably won't do as much as I did a couple of weeks ago, but I would still like to get at least... let's say 25k words done. If I can do 25k words of editing this week and then next week, I'll be done rewriting it. And then... then the real editing begins. That's when I'll be actually improving the prose, adding more descriptions, writing an exclusive bonus chapter, and stuff like that. But honestly, I think that will all be easier and infinitely less frustrating than rewriting the whole fucking thing from present tense into past tense.
