Only 45 hours done this past week when the goal is 50, but I'm still happy with what I got done. I was mainly just distracted playing Terraria with everybody from the Discord server, and it was a nice and much needed distraction! Speaking of which, I'll be going to play more of that as soon as I post this. I was also doin' something else which I'll talk about below!

The True Endgame

Not much to report here! Well, I will say that the third volume is more going to return to its roots of being primarily slice of life with a heavy focus on exploring the world and fishing up all sorts of stuff as well as having fun character interactions and a bit more actual growth as far as stats and items go.

Subverting Tropes in Another World

I didn't write this at all this week. Why? Because I wanted to relax before goin' on and having to write it every day for a few weeks before switching over to the three-a-week schedule. I'm also trying to plot for it and come up with some good, long-term ideas and plots. However, once the story is posted publicly, you can expect a consistent posting schedule for it (and all other stories for that matter). Before something is publicly available, though, no promises.

Ero Dungeon Evolution

No progress other than mental planning and coming up with more ideas since I'm waiting to get STAW up and running before returning to work on this, but I 100% am going to have it public by the end of the month.

Monday/Friday Monster Girls

MMG is actually a bit of a challenge to write every week, but I like the challenge. This probably takes me the longest out of everything that I write because I need to try and actually create cute relationships that are believable (enough) without any sex, too much drama, and writing something satisfying within 3000 words. I've never really written short stories before, so trying to do so is a challenge.

However, when it comes to FMG, I love writing this. I get to research and learn about new creatures I've never heard of before. The upload coming out this week for the $10 tier is one I had a ton of fun writing and playing around with. Learning about real life lore and then applying that and twisting it into monster girls is a really fun task.

Both of these will be online freely this week! I've already submitted MMG to RRL for approval.

In Closing

That's more or less all for the stories this week, but there's something else I have to talk about! I spent about three days this week doing a fuck ton of research into teaching English abroad. I have always been interested in teaching, but I never dared to do it because of how horribly teachers are treated over here. My mum is a teacher and we've had tons of teacher friends, and teachers in America are just treated like shit. Horrible pay, can get fired and sued at any second because of lying students or obsessive parents, they are constantly left hanging out to dry, etc. Teachers are one of the most important jobs there is here in the United States, but it's also one of the worst treated and most underpaid jobs.

However, if I were to teach abroad in a country such as Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan, then I would not only get paid very fairly (on average, you can expect to get $500-$1,500 in spare income after monthly expenses), but I would be in a culture that I have loved since a child. Yeah, I'm a weeaboo, but I've loved Asian cultures since before I ever even saw anime.  I've been fascinated by them since I was about six or seven just because of movies that my grandma loved watching and the sort of collectible decor that we had.

More importantly, I am already 100% qualified to go and get a teaching job right now. I would have thought that you'd need an education degree or at least a TEFL certificate and know some Japanese... but nope. You literally need only a bachelor's degree in any field and don't need to know a single word of Japanese. And, guess what? I have a bachelor's degree already. I was also raised by an English teacher who currently teaches ESL, and I am welcome to go and sit in at those classes at any time to take some notes.

I'm most likely going to try and get a job in Japan. There is the JET program that will start taking applications this fall, but even without that, I could start job searching now. I won't though since I'm nowhere near ready, but by this time next year, I want to have a ticket to Japan. Why Japan? Because I'm a weeb and because all of the questionable stuff I write is 100% legal there without question. My next preference is Taiwan, then South Korea (which is apparently the best for foreign teachers).

The goal would be to stay over there teaching and try to get permanent residency. I still plan on writing hopefully being my main source of income, and preferably sometime in the future, writing for visual novels. And, seeing as how Japan is the home of visual novels, I figure I'd have much better opportunities in that field over there.

Anyways, this is all just wishful planning right now. Who knows what the future will hold? All I know is that, even if I do move overseas and start teaching English, I will still be here trying my hardest to continue giving you your money's worth with my writing.
