2021-02-03 01:55:47 +0000 UTCI agree with Noah about a lot of things... immortality is not among them. This will be my 25th year on earth. I have *barely* been able to tolerate my short time. If I was offered a cure to aging, I'd turn it down without a moments hesitation or a second thought afterward. In my wildest dreams I cannot begin to conceive of a theoretically endless life which would be anything but torturous to me. I just hope that if we do ever manage to cure aging, a refusal of the cure won't be considered a disease worthy of lock-up.

2021-01-29 23:15:06 +0000 UTCNoah, I loved your story at the end about how a listener told you to watch a 20 minute YouTube video instead of making the argument themselves. I had a similar exchange recently on a Reddit forum in which I questioned a person's post since it didn't make any sense. It was like they were connecting dots A to Z without explaining how they got there. They got mad that I questioned them and told me to read The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire if I really wanted to understand. I briefly entertained the idea of listening to it on Audiobook, but it was 126 hours of listening and I decided it wasn't worth my time.

I mean, if Biden's views make him an Anti-Catholic Catholic then wouldn't most Catholics (at least here in the States) be ACC as well? Hell, depending on where you draw the line, The Pope his royal self might qualify for the ACC label, which I think would make him the first Anti-Catholic Pope. So....good on Francis?
