First goal reached ! New infrastructure in place

The first goal of $ 1000 / month was reached a little over a week ago. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your incredible support ♥!! Huge thank you also to all the creators who trusted Moulinette and were the first to offer content.

When the target was reached, I made a commitment to invest more in the infrastructure in order to offer better performance and a more attractive visual signature. I am happy to announce that the first part of the engagement is completed. New servers have been purchased to allow a better evolution of Moulinette in the future.

New server & new domain name

Moulinette Cloud is migrated and now hosted on https://www.moulinette.cloud and https://assets.moulinette.cloud (assets management for creators). 

Benefits for users

These servers are dedicated and have much better performance. You probably won't see much a difference because most of moulinette capabilities are served locally but Patreon integration and the download of Moulinette Cloud assets index should be faster. 

Benefits for content creators

Having a dedicated server gives me much better flexibility and I have been able to improve a few parts of the process

• Upload is not limited to 125 MB any more. You can now upload packs up to 500 MB.
• Post-processing is much faster now. It takes less than a minute to start and generally can prepare your packs in a few minutes rather than 10-30 minutes.

Other benefits

This new infrastructure better supports further development needs and can more easily scale with new content creators. I don't have to implement workarounds any more and can invest less effort to provide new features.

New features

Along with the infrastructure changes, I implemented a few new features that are now available when you update moulinette-core to version 3.3.0.

Gifts management

This feature is intended to content creators who want to make their assets available to other people (family, co-workers, friends) without them having to support them on Patreon. As content creator, you can now create a "gift" and generate an coupon to share with someone else. When a person uses this coupon, he'll have access to assets as if he had the designed tier.

(note : supporting Moulinette is still required to have access to Moulinette Cloud)

Foundry module hosting integrated with Patreon (beta)

Content creators can now share links to their supporters to download entire packs. Users won't have to support Moulinette and don't have to use Foundry VTT for that. So, this is ideal to make assets available to everybody.

Those links can be shared publicly to anyone and don't have to be renewed regularly to make sure that people who have stopped supporting a creator can't download new assets anymore. Moulinette checks each download that the person is authorized.

When uploading a FVTT module, Moulinette Cloud will detect it and prepare the download by adapting the module.json file. As user, you can generate a URL that can be used in Foundry VTT to download or update a module. The URL is valid for 15 minutes and only for 1 single download, thus protecting creators assets.

Disable Moulinette Cloud

If you like Moulinette but don't want to use Moulinette Cloud's capabilities, I added a configuration to completely disable it. The module will then not interact with Moulinette Cloud servers anymore. You won't have access to showcase content nor any Patreon content. However, other integrations remain available (Game Icons, BBC sounds, Bing search, etc.). 

Note: Moulinette is very concerned about privacy. I'm not using any analytics and don't track people activities. I always try to implement features in the module itself (locally) rather than online to protect privacy. If you have any concern, feel free to reach me about it.

Improved Patreon integration

Debugging patreon integration is time consuming. To help people check which creators they support and what Moulinette can see, I added the information on the Patreon integration screen.

Again, thank you for your support over the past few months and hope you enjoy these new changes. Keep coming up with ideas and suggestions on Discord. I don't have enough time to do them all but I'm implementing the ones that seem to interest the most people.
