Hey everybody. I shared these previews on Discord already but here they are for anyone who missed them.
Progress this week was mixed. Sunday through Wednesday I made decent progress on the scene you see here, but Thursday and Friday I was very busy with work and a family function Friday night, so I couldn't work on the game those days.
In the images you see here the lighting has been tricky. In a scene like this which has a lot of dark spots it's hard to get the lighting consistent as the characters move around the scene. You get a few images that look great and then you move the characters five feet or you turn the camera and all of a sudden the lighting doesn't work. Then you've got to move the lights around which results in inconsistent lighting between shots. So then you either have to hope the player doesn't notice or you have to go back and redo the original images. So this morning and afternoon I spent trying to get the lighting correct, but I've still got a lot of work to do on this scene.
And then I lost all of tonight trying to set up a home network with all of my computers able to access each other. Even after two hours with Microsoft support it's still not set up. I'm bushed but I'm at least going to stay up long enough to get a render queue going while I sleep.
