New Issue: 3 January

The first issue of 2022!

Do you have ideas about literary fundraising? Strange Horizons is looking for a Fundraising Editor! Details in this week’s editorial.

A Special Note to Patreon Subscribers: We want to particularly draw your attention to our recruitment call for a Fundraising Editor. You might think from the name that we're looking for someone to raise more funds. But the actual role is more about taking care of people who donate to us already - making sure that we fulfill our promises to YOU and keep YOU in the loop. Other names we considered for the role were Subscriptions Editor or Public Editor.
If you have been a Patreon subscriber for a significant chunk of time, that's highly relevant experience. If you have time and interest in volunteering with us in this role, please do reach out. More details are in the Azimuth post linked above.

A woman struggles with “the slippery shape of love and companionship that morphs with you as you change” in E.M. Faulds’ new fiction, “Broken Blue”

In poetry, Antonio Funches’ “Coup” cries righteous havoc for the oppressed, and the village witch tells the story of her child in “Who Came from the Woods.”

Strange Horizons looks back on 2021 with Part 1 of the year in review on Monday, followed by Part 2 on Wednesday, and Part 3 on Friday.

Comments

Always love the year in review.
