...A Kickstarter? Whait, WHAT?! 

Good evening guys!

Today we have the great pleasure to announce the first of the two new upcoming fantasy armies that will come to Highlands Miniatures for our first fantasy campaign: the Dwarfs, sons of Ymir!

After many months of hard work in our spare time and with the help of some illustrators and concept artists from many parts of the world, the day is finally here and the Nine Dwarf Kingdoms are being summoned to Highlands Miniatures to be one of the two upcoming new fantasy armies from our Patreon. 

"The Dwarfs were the product of the primordial blood of the being Ymir, the first giant. The mining, smithing and crafting skills of the dwarfs are well known in the entire world. They are hired by the greatest human empires to build their palaces and create the most powerful weapons for their Emperors. Passionate about beer and meat, the dwarfs are great and strong warriors who inhabit great cities in the foothills of the mountains. The dwarfs are split in the Nine Dwarfs Kingdoms, a reference to the nine worlds of the norse mythology.

Our fantasy Dwarf Army will be based on the norse mythology where the first dwarf tales come from, like the Poetic Edda and the Prose Edda, and the middle high german heroic poetry. The design of the miniatures will be heavily influenced by the old school dwarfs and the norse mythology."

And to celebrate this announcement and to promote the beginning of the Dwarf Army in the very close future, we have decided to create a "Pay as you wish" Kickstarter campaign called The Dwarf Lord by Highlands Miniatures, that you will be able to get for just ONE (1) pound.

This "Pay as you wish" Kickstarter contains a Dwarf Lord 32mm STL miniature and a big scenic/diorama base, with a couple of stretch goals. As we've said, the idea of this Kickstarter is to reach as many people as possible that may be interested in build a fantasy Dwarf army with us. 

The Kickstarter will go live in a few days. 

And why Dwarfs? Well, because we always wanted to make a cool norse based fantasy dwarf army like the old school amazing illustrations from many great artist of the past, and because it was the first choice selected by you, the patrons, in the poll we did a few months ago about the future of Highlands Miniatures.
