I'm betting the wife isn't real because the set-up of the show feels too SugirixGabi, particularly with the amount that Gabi compares Sugiri to his wife. I actually think the wife being the feminine Tao to Gabi is a really good theory π€ Lore side-note since you keep shipping red-head with Sugiri. Given they are all from the same clan (the Asaemon) it is likely most of them are cousins, with the exception of the known adoptees like Tenza. That's probably why Senta looked like Sugiri, and why the guy in the last scene did too. I believe red-head is supposed to be much older than Sugiri because he was training her as a child, and I think Shion is meant to be a little older than her too (like if she was 10, Shion might be in his late teens to 20s, and red-head in his 20s to 30s from how they're represented) Realistically, since Gabi and Sugiri are technically fresh from training, they would be around 15-17 years old if we're looking at actual history, but the author might've aged them up based on modern standards. But I do feel like Sugiri and Gabi feel very young and naive at times. Even Senta felt pretty young, but slightly older, like he'd be 18-22. I'm curious how close my ballpark guesses of their ages are, but I'm too scared of spoilers to look anything up lol

Looking forward to follow with Wes and Steph into the Season 2 train of Frieren, Hell's Paradise and JJK Season 3. Also looking forward what surprise they gonna react to cough cough (Ranking of Kings hehe)
