Hunter x Hunter Episodes 134 - 136

Kites primary organs (or brain atleast) were removed from the body and fed to the queen evident by the new surgical scars post reanimation. Once she completed her ability and realized it couldnt return him to life, only control movements of a body, she couldnt deny such a rich meal from the kings development, and we know she was aware the brain was the most crucial and 'tasty' part of a human. But for very complicated reasons that have entire reddit threads devoted to discerning, Kites brain went into this new ant rather than being assimilated into Meruem. This is more related to Kites ability to influence luck and a post mortem nen effect, as referenced later on by Ging, but ultimately it required his brain being eaten to reincarnate in this way. ps some theorize that why Meruem broke out early and 'hangry af' was partly an indirect cause of Kite, the richest nen meal Meruem would ever taste, was denied him and instead diverted into a new embryo, sparking his breaking free early in search of a nen meal. The headcanons abound in this regard but its fun to think about.

I don't think he was deserving of death. There is no need to kill somebody who has outgrown a personality structure that enabled the killing and isn't an active threat anymore or isn't someone who will be a threat in the future. He showed that he is willing to negotiate and Palm even mentioned that he could torture her to get the information and his response was insane compared to his previous personality. He told her that it's not even an option! Like he could do it, but it's not even an option for him. And then he acknowledged that he didn't know what mattered. Our judicial system doesn't work like that either that he would be sentenced to death, especially not when he didn't even had the moral development given that he was just born and didn't know better. And also the underlying christian values our culture is based upon aren't grounded in punishment but in compassion, forgiveness and understanding, which Jesus symbolizes, right?

It's not actually radiation, the bomb releases a highly lethal poison, that is also contagious.

Vinland Saga I believe will come very close if they EVER greenlight season 3 after a very successful second season! Not sure what is taking so long.

The saddest part about this, is that we'll probably never see another character growth arc like Meruem, ever. As attention span gets shorter and shorter, and both technology and media push forward content quantity over quality (like it happened with the industrial revolution, completely overtaking the artisan counterpoints), stories also suffer from this. They need to be shorter, they need to have things happen NOW, there is no time to develop your characters, the readers/viewers are going to get bored and drop your content. Emotions get rushed artificially, instant gratification becoming the norm. Shock value, action scenes, comedy quips, anything to keep the public engaged non-stop. It's becoming less and less relevant, less and less frequent, to see actually good stories that cook at a slower pace, allowing for these sorts of incredibly cathartic moments of climax. Meruem's story, the Quimera Ants Arc, took 60 whole anime episodes to tell, almost half of the total amount of episodes this series had at that moment in time, and more than double what most regular anime get nowadays. That's why I believe, there will be no other anime in the foreseeable future that will match it in terms of quality.

After watching the full arc, I don't think anybody was a villain in this arc. If we think from Ant's perspective as a species, they were doing what we do as top placeholders of food chain. We even don't imagine the scenario of toppled down, but what about the other billion species who are currently on the mercy of humankind. This anime was an eye opener and that's why it's my fav anime ever. PS: I think Netero and Meruem gonna meet in heaven, because noway Komugi is going anywhere else.

It's impossible not to cry :(

I think pouf did what he did for his ant race, not because he had his own vision of king. Mereum also thought he was undeserving of the royal guards because he failed as the hope for the ant race.

Pleasure Me
