There was a time when I REALLY needed to hear that as well. It's such a powerful sentence that might just be something that could save someone. This show is so well written

2025-11-08 01:10:24 +0000 UTCIt’s also gotta be so hard for sieun man has been neglected his whole life basically from on and off parents his mom had never developed a actual relationship with her son and dosnt try to as we see in s1 she thinks that when sieun is studying and staying out of trouble is what’s best but in reality it’s what’s made him this way if anything I doubt Sieun likes studying at all it’s so hard with his mom cause of just how oblivious she is to her son’s depression and just thinks taking him to therapy or getting him back into studying and taking away his “bad influence friends” will solve everything but in reality it’s just reducing him to the same emotionless depressed kid that feels so much hurt and resentment at the begging of the series I wish she would instead develop a dynamic where he could talk to her and not feel so emotional disconnected stop worrying about his studying and get to know more about how school life feels for him and how people treat him what his friends mean to him what he wants in the future literal anything it feels so hypocritical for me what she says “how could you not understand my feelings” while looking at Sieun and making all these decisions while asumeing she knows everything that’s going on and had happened she is a mom she needs to act like one despite how much it hurts her seeing her son go through so much (sorry for rant lmao I just think sieuns family dynamics is so overlooked in the show cause so many people that watch this show overlook just how much his parents truly affected him emotionally and as a person it’s so heartbreaking)
