There's a panel in one of those chapters that shows three graves, implying that Yaga had three children that passed away for some reason and that grief lead him to discover how to create self-sustaining cursed corpses with their own sense of self.

And western fans really love to put their agenda the moment it comes up! Maybe she is trans, maybe there is curse technique to change sex (which is trans anyway I guess) or maybe she just was a tomboy earlier and grew up more feminine!

We’d already heard the hype — rumours about him clashing with the higher-ups, Gojo saying Hakari, Yuta, and Yuji might surpass him someday, and even that moment where Gojo tells Yuta to take care of everyone except Hakari because “he’ll be fine.” Then when we see him they not only show his personality but also his conviction and how sees the world , They show off how smart he is by asking the question about Gojo and knowing the phone thing and Then show off his fighting skills. Mind you they do all that in ONE SCENE, absolute cinnima

2026-01-29 20:32:33 +0000 UTCI rewatched the first episodes where Naoya talked shit about Maki and didn't realize that her mother was serving Naoya. The voice actor did show a slight reaction, when Naoya asked if Mai is dead (he got it wrong and the mother told him it's Maki who is at the brink of dead.) And it makes more sense now when she was the one who heard how Naoya said that Maki can't support a man and that every woman who can't walk three steps behind a man deserves to be stabbed in the back and killed.

It works with cursed energy, his last words binded her to him, he cursed her. There's probably more to it, if he talks about it being a curse. The term curse always had a very specific meaning in this show, it was never mentioned in a metaphoric or figurative way.

It would only be a problem if he also wanted to keep it a secret but I’m pretty sure that isn’t his goal. Also, there are no witnesses. Nobody even knows that he got the information, as far as we know.

2026-01-29 19:09:56 +0000 UTCPrincipal Gakuganji didn’t want to kill Yaga, I think. He just followed orders, basically “the rules” and did what had to be done from his perspective. They told Yaga that he would be spared if he revealed how he creates those special cursed corpses. I think the “curse” is that, by giving him the information in the end, killing him wasn’t necessary anymore and became a burden Gakuganji now has to bear. When Panda arrived a bit later, he wasn’t even angry at him and said that the two were usually on good terms, almost like friends or at least good colleagues and that Gakuganji was just “the tool to carry out the mission”.

Why putting it before and follow it up with tthe opening, goofy scenes and characters. (I love Hakari so much). It's so out of place i think. If i rember it correctly in the manga the Panda chapiter happened BEFORE Maki massacre.

You talk about everything: The story, the animation, the music, the directing, the characters, the writing, the effect it has on you!!! I found no other reactors that do that and I searched a lot I'd say! The way you react every artist would feel honored! Because you know how it is: You created something, show it to a friend to get feedback and all they say is "cool". That says nothing about your art, the effect it had, you learn basically nothing from that superficial comment. I learn so much about the art of storytelling just by listening to you and I can appreciate every anime so much deeper by watching it with you! Just finished your Hunter x Hunter reaction and I wouldn't have been able to appreciate this masterpiece without you guys, cause I've seen it once on my own before. I could connect so much deeper to the story and it's a bigger inspiration in my life now! What you do is far more than entertainment for me!
