I hate suzaku with passion in this show. He is a self righteous, i can do nothing wrong kind that i cannot stand with

2025-06-29 01:24:30 +0000 UTC"Suzaku hasn't done anything bad" he was (and is) literally complicit in a genocide: Suzaku wiped the floor with the "terrorists" in the Shinjuku ghetto thereby singlehandedly removing the only obstacle for the Britannians to just indiscriminately slaughter everyone. Suzaku's path is by no means any less bloody than Lelouch's; while he abstains from bloodying his own hands he enables Brittania to just continue committing atrocities as they see fit. By compartmentalizing himself as part of the system he averts responsibility for the deaths caused not by his hand but as a direct consequence of his actions from himself onto Britannia. Qualitatively one can probably map this back to the trolley problem. Suzaku would choose to let the train continue in its track (at least in the here and now) because he doesn't want to be responsible for the deaths of others, whereas Lelouch would rather change the track in order to exercise his own agency.
