Man, I would love to see you guys watch Hajime No Ippo. It's a boxing manga/anime, one of the all time greatest of the sports genre! The manga has been going for about 35 years now so there is a lot of material: Hajime no Ippo - aired 2000 Hajime no Ippo: Champion Road - 2003 Hajime no Ippo: Mashiba vs. Kimura - 2003 Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger - 2009 Hajime no Ippo: Rising - 2013

Btw if you're gonna check out the manga then I'd recommend you check out this match in the manga as well. The anime is ok but the manga is much much much better.

We're said to be getting one more movie, I don't think anything else has been confirmed after that. I switched from anime to manga after the 4th season, so just prior to this movie, and I'd definitely argue the animation brings life to Haikyuu. However, I still think Haikyuu going forward, especially the final arc, was really well done in the manga. I'd honestly like to see the manga reaction as you'd be the only creators I follow that would be seeing the ending so far.

2025-06-19 23:09:20 +0000 UTCThat last sequence from Kenma's perspective was crazy. It is relatively easy to animate a tracking camera. You basically just draw larger pictures and then crop and move them. But to animate a panning/tilting camera (i.e. rotational movement) must require so much more skills from the animators. And on top of that they've made it feel so natural and dynamic.

2025-06-19 22:11:58 +0000 UTCOriginally they were gonna end the story with 2 movies, this one + the next, but since it did so well I think that they took out the "final" from the titles, and there are rumors that there will be more than just 1 more movie (which I reeeeally hope bc there's still way too much stuff to just do 1 or even 2 movies, at least in my opinion). And since this one came out last year, I think whatever comes next shouldn't be in more than 2 years, so do with that as you will. Also, if you could/wanted you should read the manga for this match, since they skipped a bit of stuff that I feel is important in terms of character development and also cool moments.

VS The Little Giant" (Karasuno vs Kamomedai) and a few OVAs under the name "Where Monsters Go" (Aparently, Fukurodani vs Mujinazaka). At some point, after this amazing movie against Nekoma, the official page removed the "~Final" from the tittle. There are so many beautiful moments yet to be adapted and neither the movie or ovas have a relase date. It was an awesome jouney watching the anime with you guys <3 I think the manga is worth reading too. We would be happy with manga reactions too(?). haha
