Vinland Saga S2 Episode 6

Comments

I didn't? I was adding to the conversation they were already having and which I think is best based on what I learned of history and such. Or do you mean my comment on Stardew Valley? 😂 that was a joke. Either way you responding like "don't tell them" is a huge red flag, so let's both delete our comments before they get seen

Why do you feel the need to say what will happen next ? They don't need to know, let them discover the story.

You guys had a lot of great points, but I think the main thing Gramps was saying was that if you have so much land, it draws attention, and if the people working the land can't even defend it, and you have to rely on outside help, what happens when that outside help, aka the lord/king, wants that land themselves? Or if they are overthrown and another lord wants it? The argument to me was he was saying "it would be better if it was smaller, so the ones who can fight can protect it, because paying someone outside is just asking for them to invade when the amount you give is less than what they want" At least, that's how I took it. :3 And don't worry guys lol still plenty of harvest moon/stardew valley simulator left, you can rest easy~

The retainers them selfs have bad jobs there not giveing them horses to show there superiority This is to show even people of low status will pick on those lower than them to feal some sort of gratification

Dedicated soldiers/warriors are worth about 4 times the amount of a lightly trained farmer in a fight, the villages the vikings fought in season 1 outnumbered them generally, but a Dedicated warrior had the mentality for killing, evens when defending your own lands and family they would likely hesitate which would cause them to die and morale to break. Important thing to remember is most armies weren't wiped out when they lost a battle, 10k vs 10k would usually only have about 3k losses on either side as the troops would break

Age of empires mention.... dopamine released

Calling an elderly person you know "grandpa" or "grandma" is a norm in asian media, possibly due to translation as well. Here, for example, they translated "gigi" as both grandpa and old man in a single conversation.
