In a weird way Askeladd felt like he was talking to his two adopted children. He makes for a pretty demented adoptive father but you probably get the idea. Edit: extra demented because he killed Thors and Ragnar who were essentially their real father’s (Ragnar taking the role even if not actually)

2024-09-26 20:51:06 +0000 UTCWe don't specifiacly see it in the show but seeing how Thorfinn has been with Askeladds crew for a decade, he's definetly killed many absolutely undeserving people along the way to earn the duels. I think the way you talked about Thorfinn seeing his own actions as "good" or better than killing a sleeping enemy, that only extends to the situation with Askeladd. Other than that his actions absolutely make him a Viking aswell although he obviously doesn't take the same pleasure in it like Bjorn for example.
