Are You Sure Episode 7

Hey beautiful people of the internet! I'm so sorry this episode is coming out late! I thought I had already posted it! 100% my bad, I'm sorry! - Wesley

When the food is good... JK: 😠 Jimin: 🥹 Similar to hotpot, shabu shabu includes a seasoned broth boiling on the middle of the table, served with a variety of veggies, thin slices of meat for easy/fast cooking (sometimes they also have seafood choices which include shellfish, assorted fishballs, shrimp, and more since they are also quick to cook), and maybe some noodles. The most common veggies served with it are usually the ones that are also fast to cook, like enoki mushrooms, tofu, napa cabbage, and thinly sliced carrots. You're also given different types of dipping sauces. The veggies are cooked for 10 minutes; when that is ready, people cook their meat for a couple of seconds (or longer) and then put it into your bowl. If you still need to figure out how to do things, you can always ask the staff, who will explain everything.

Lastly about the eatingg.. i think you guys should totally do it!! If you're not comfortable only eating in front of the camera I think you could react to something but maybe it would make more sense if its some music content, maybe a concert? Im not super sure what, but something that you don't need a complete focus on the screen, since usually you have to read the subs while watching and adding eating and talking about the food might be too much haha

I go skiing every year and i lovee it, only snowboarded for a week and I ended up breaking my wrist haha but i got to ride the snowmobile to the hospital soo it was a pretty fun experience.😆Also I started skiing when I was 7 but my brother started at 4 (in one of those ski kindergardens, not sure if you have them in the US)

Just FYI: They just released a photobook for this show which also contains deleted scenes of all the trips :) There aren't any uploads of the whole videos yet but I'll send you a link when I find one!

Lela

I skied once. I twisted my leg and my ski shoe did NOT do the click off thing it's supposed to do when your skis turn too much. Never wanted to go skiing again lol

Lela

I don't get like 90% of the references they make so I just enjoy watching them giggling and laughing ahahaha 🤣

Lela

1:59 If I was Jungkook I would have some questions lol How did he not know his friends went snowboarding with Jimin? ahaha

Lela

i know Sapporo mostly from watching ski jumping as a kid, there are ski jumping hills located there. Japan always had a lot of great ski jumpers. i guess Sapporo is kinda like a heart of winter sports in Japan

morela

have you guys seen the clip of jimin crying over fried chicken?? its on his instagram if you havent. hes so dramatic when it comes to food sometimes, so cute and funny

morela

they did they just didn't tagged under bts you can search for it and it will show up

Did you guys watch episode 6 of are you sure? Cause I can't see a video here...

I live in Canada by the Rockies. You grown up here learning to snowboard, ski ( downhill and cross country) and skate. If you're used to skiing, snowboarding is hard to get going. If you're used to snowboarding, it's the other way around. They use different muscle groups (other than core). Jk was good with snowboarding because he's used to using the muscle groups that's is needed. Just like Jimin and skiing. Which I can see being the dancer he is. It rare for someone too like or be good at both. My sister loves snowboarding and I love skiing. We both are not good at the other one 🤣

The shower wasn't where the window was. That was the reflection. It's a whole wet room. The boards are a specific type that is resistant to mold and is essentially waterproof. Between the board is a slat that raises them up for the drain underneath. Either tile or concrete underneath the boards. You should be able to take the boards up to clean underneath. Some places in Europe have these wet rooms too. (More Northern countries) The boiling of veggies at the table (or meat). You guys should look up a good hot pot place in your town. This is a type of that style.

regarding the mukbang idea, i think it would be really distracting if you were to watch, eat and do commentary for the food and video at the same time. I suggest making a separate mukbang video so that we can see the food and hear your thoughts on it! We could give you guys more food recommendations too and turn this into a series hehe

Wes not wanting to go to the barbershop/hairdressers coz he doesnt wanna small talk, is SO ME OMG😭

Shabu shabu is a popular Japanese dish. You swish around thin slices of meat in a light broth, then dip in a delicious sauce and eat with rice. It cooks quickly because the meat is thin. There are vegetables too. It’s one of my favorite dishes.

Where the boys stayed was a Ryoukan. A traditional style hotel I DREAM of staying at. Usually, they have outdoor baths called onsen, but the one they had appears to have private indoor baths called sento. That was a bath, not a jacuzzi 😂 so they were in the bath with pants. Ugh, this is my dream trip though. Winter at a ryoukan 😭 I want to go to a private onsen though instead of sento. And I LOVE snow boarding, but I do it in an abnormal way, so my father sold my snowboard and stopped taking me, but I refuse to ski. It's too hard for me for some reason lol Ach, the way Jimin was falling was stressing me out~ falling is sooo dangerous the way he does it. You HAVE to turn the board sideways to fall, so either the normal way which is by leaning backwards, or the way I did it, which was turning the other way to slowly lean forwards. If you fall while moving the board straight like he kept doing, you do those croc rolls that can snap your legs, spine, or shoulders. 🫣 So ya, he's better off skiing. Jin is practically a professional snowboarder though, fun fact. He tears it up

thanks for the reaction!! also, jhope is coming back in less than 3 weeks!!

In a traditional Japanese Inn (ryokan), you can go around in your pajamas/yukata (after you take a bath). Also, that was a wet room, which is common for Japanese baths that combine a shower with the bath in a wet room (even ceilings can get wet), so it's fun for kids. The toilet is in a separate room. It's such a great concept - I love it whenever I go to Japan. They do have the American style bathrooms (toilet + bath in one bathroom) in some hotels too.

mo Iranai

They rented out the ski place early before it opened to the public lol that’s why you didn’t see a lot of people. You guys missed when the subs said that

ParkMinJeon

Guys, regarding the eating during reactions. I know some people don't like it. But for BTS, a lot of content already have full footage of the members eating. If you are not comfortable watching people eat, why would you see these videos? At least I think you should give it a try, I'd be fun!

Alexa

11:18 Jk look so young with the bowl cut also this reminds me of the time Jin cut his own bangs with kitchen scissors 😭

ly1111

Hey guys, lovely video. I only know how to snowboard, but I've heard before that snowboarding is harder to get started, but once you know the basics it gets easier, but skiing is the other way around

Janne

I love that yall noticed Jungkooks angry face when he's eating something yummy! Jimins worried looking surprised/amazed face is also super cute

I used to live in Washington so my family would go skiing a lot. And when I was seven or eight, I once went down this really advanced twisty course and did it flawlessly. (Note: it was probably an intermediate course but my child brain thought it was like an Olympic level course) I ended up finishing it before even my dad, so I decided to go down the like ultra beginner slope to get back to the lodge. It’s like super easy and actually what I was taught how to ski on. And yet 😒 First some couple crashed into me and knocked me down. It was very much a hit and run. They didn’t even check on me 😭 just got up and continued skiing. Once I recovered from that, I somehow skied directly into one of those big ass ski lift poles💀 I was humbled so quickly 😐 I’ve never gone skiing again. 😌 Staying home is good. And safe. And less embarrassing.

bizarre☆azar

I was wanting for this.. haha that's funny you thought it was already up. It's like writing a text waiting for a reply and realizing you never sent it... haha

Senior trip to Lake Tahoe Ca I hit a patch of ice jumping a mogul & was flung into a tree fracturing my shin bone. Worst part was being strapped to a sled going down the black diamond ski run being pulled by a guy who thought he was on some EXTREME edition of a reality show. Although I was so terrified of the ride it did make me forget about how bad my leg hurt lol

SugaIsMyPetRock (Pamela)

This was so much fun! I was looking forward to this episode yayyy!!!!☺️ I have never been snowboarding or skiing and this episode definitely made that right on top of my bucket list lol. Also their hairstylist who's been with them from 2014 said he had to fly up to fix Jungkook hair before the music video with Usher lol. We see the hairstylist in Jungkook movie ' I am still' I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it but it was a very touching moment. Hope you guys get to watch the movie!💜

Mubashirah Sampson

I went skiing once back in 7th grade. Never went past the bunny slopes🫠

Answering some of your questions before even finishing the episode! 1. The floor in the hottub room is designed to handle the water coming out. I think the gaps between the boards is part of the draining system but not 100% sure. 2. The fancy food that is set up is a very fancy spread and part of it is shabu-shabu, which is a japanese version of chinese hotpot. You cook raw ingredients yourself into different broths, in chinese style the pot is usually divided into different sections with different flavor broths, most commonly a spicy one and one milder like tomato broth or something more clear. Shabu-shabu is usually a lot milder and customized to more japanese style milder soups. You cook meat and vegetables and then eat the ingredients, and sometimes end with the soup with rice. 3. The meat you were wondering if it was octopus was most likely beef, not completely sure which part. The meat for shabu-shabu is cut SUPER thin specifically so you can swish-swish(shabu-shabu) it in a very short amount of time and it gets cooked almost immediately. That could mean it broke in some parts, or it was a cut less commonly eaten in the west. Maybe lungs, or intestines? That doesn’t seem very common to use for shabu-shabu though from what i could find. It is most likely beef though.

Also, no problem on the late upload!

Mikki

Just wanted to let you know that episode 6 is tagged wrong and not in the right collection

Mikki

lol I had a feeling you probably thought it was posted bc usually you announce when something is late 😭

Charmaine

Japan are the best episodes, they really are the two closest members and the fact they did this only a couple of weeks before enlisting together is so so so sos special, I love them so much, also once you have completed episode 8 there is also going to be a 52 minute behind the scenes video which is going to be included in the photobook which starts getting shipped on the 30th!

kookmineve
