Stopping the rumbling is in turn directly subjecting paradis to genocide so im not 100% sure even if armin told him about their plans if samuel and daz would agree. Armin, reiner, annie, hange and everyone else in that squad is actively sacrificing paradis for the world, its not a saving both situation. They chose the world over their friends and family while Samuel and Daz didnβt. There is no time to stop the rumbling and think about far fetched ideas that could possibly maybe work. This whole season started with all the different leaders of the world coming together and agreeing that they should wipe out paradis completely. If this rumbling is stopped, you dont think the world would immediately ban together and wipe out paradis as they had already planned to do so before eren transformed in Marley and caused all that mayhem.

2024-05-09 21:25:53 +0000 UTCAnother heartbreaking thing about the ending of the episode is that Samuel was saved by Sasha In episode 4 when he was falling when the Collosal titan appeared for the second time. She shot his leg with her ODM gear. So Conny had to end the life of someone his "other half" had saved so long ago. Truly a gutting momet for him and briliantly writen.

2024-05-09 19:40:08 +0000 UTCBravo for recognizing Daz after all that time ! Also, Samuel appeared before ! in season 1 episode 4 when the colossal appeared on top of the wall. Samuel fell off the wall and Sasha saved him by grabbing his leg with her 3 dimensional gear.
