2024-01-15 23:30:59 +0000 UTCteachers are paid better in korea than here compared to the costs of living expenses and it’s considered a high honor to be one. it was probably incredibly surprising for the abusive teacher that dong-eun was able to become a teacher even though she dropped out bc of him abt her classmates. i think that bastard probably hoped she would’ve committed suicide young or failed at life so his abuse was covered up.

2024-01-15 18:59:57 +0000 UTCthere are strict rules against private tutors in Korea (i think its also banned in china) this is because it was putting to much financial pressure on the parents and leading to serious inequality in the education system, if u want to get a good job or go to a good school etc you needed good grades and if u were poor u did not stand a chance there is serious pressure on the students they even had to limit the time after school centre could stay open eg 10pm, i know some people would say well if u have the money why cant u spend it on your child but it was getting to the point if u were poor or lower middle class then thats it u did not stand a chance of a good job, also people were going into debt to pay for these tutors

Just a fun fact the actor who plays the plastic surgeon & the actress who plays the main villain are dating in real life..
