steph was generally "correct" in agreeing with ruijerd killing the guy, rudeus is really the only one in this world thats so *against* killing, as for the average person in this world death and killing is just a thing that happens, and there are many situations where its kill or be killed, so most people, like eris, wouldnt really think much of it, even if they think it was a little rash they wont think hes a monster

2024-04-09 00:32:08 +0000 UTCalso if youre wondering why the subtitles double up like that sometimes, its because they invented several other languages for the voice actors to speak when on other continents. in the beginning you could hear paul and zenith speaking the made up tongue of man before rudeus understood the language, and then you hear the made up demon god tongue when rudeus speaks to most people on the demon continent so it needed to be translated into both japanese and english

2024-04-09 00:19:32 +0000 UTCin the novels, they had ruijerd wear a helmet, then when the guards asked him to take it off they said he found it, put it on, but it was cursed and he couldnt take it off so they laughed at him and let them through, then he bought the ingredients needed to bleach and dye his hair blue with the plan being they make their party look like a bunch of people PRETENDING to be dead end, so they gave him blue hair so hed look like a migurd trying to be a superd, and as they do good deeds under the name Dead End they would eventually help heal ruijerds reputation because instead of Dead End being a name that made people afraid, people would think "oh, Dead End helped my buddies out a while ago, theyre alright"
