It really has a great storyline and i am now reading the manga after watching the latest ep but its just not sth for someone who is slowly getting into anime imo...

It may feel uncomfortable, but it is for good reason. That said, no one would blame you guys for dropping it so don't force yourselves if it gets too much.

It's someone who's so terrified of the outside world, they never leave their rooms so their family house them and bring them food and have to leave the food outside the door. It sounds like the main is a hikikomori.
