We love watching everything with you guys and are going to keep doing our best to make the Patreon awesome with you! We also want to mention that you guys know we adore BTS! Right now we're watching them for 3/8 hours of filming. We have been loving, savoring and enjoying their content over time and don't want to rush and binge too much too fast. Also, transparently, we need to film enough to keep the other channel going as well! We hope that makes sense!

Also, just because Tae is there does not meant that they have to watch it as their first. I honestly think that they won't enjoy Hwarang as much as most of us did, at least in the context of us having watched kdramas even before Hwarang so please STOP SUGGESTING IT! having said that.. Vincenzo, Its okay to not be okay, Attorney Woo :) - good introduction to kdramas honestly if you want heavy drama - currently airing is THE GLORY :) its a must watch

Wouldn't recommend it to be your first entry into the K-drama world, it put me off for a while.

If you want more lighthearted/romantic suggestions then Our Beloved Summer, Abyss, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo are all also amazing! As well I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH BUT ALICE IN BORDERLAND IS SOOOO GOOD (it's an adaptation of the manga by the same name)

2023-01-09 02:50:40 +0000 UTCI’m a little out of date these days on kdramas but I remember for a long time, some of the most popular ones back in the day: -Descendants of the Sun (medical, sort of military but not really, cute but with enough angst still in moral dilemmas)— this is an older one from like 2016ish? But it was like super popular for a really long time in Asia especially. -Goblin (supernatural, funny, lots of angst but offset with super cute romance and extremely funny characters) -Extraordinary Attorney Woo -Vincenzo Personal favorite light hearted ones were Weightlifting Fairy Kim bok joo and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. They’re both about women who are super strong and kind of seen as undesirable because of it in a way. Weightlifting fairy is about a sports school where she’s a weightlifter so she directly has to deal with being seen as not as conventionally attractive and the stigma of that while going after the guy she loves; Meanwhile strong woman has supernatural strength and it’s more about her sort of coming to accept that it can be a good thing. The best part is how hard the male leads simp over them after especially because of their strength. Personally I find them both hilarious and still rewatch them. I know a lot of people will recommend hwarang because V acted in it, but I say this with love as a fan of BTS since 2015, Hwarang was very underwhelming in terms of plot and just characters in general. I love pretty much all of the actors in it but I loved them way more in other dramas (except V since this was his only one so far :)). They had a lot of famous actors/idols who are all arguable great actors, but they didn’t really have a story worth telling. Also V plays a pretty minor role because I originally watched for him and he’s kind of a cross between a minor and side character. Additionally it’s a historical drama and there’s a lot of context that’s needed to understand Korean history in that setting (not plot wise but I mean more the cultural background and why certain characters are expected to do certain things, etc.). It would be more difficult to start with.

It is fantasy… most of the the k dramas being mentioned are romantic romantic. But of course up to you and what you decide after reading the descriptions of the k dramas listed. Thanks either way lol
