Any 3D Printing?
Added 2021-04-07 02:17:29 +0000 UTCHey guys, anyone try to print any gears yet? Any questions? Mia says normal quality settings will work fine. Low quality might even be okay for these. Our printer does have a double extruder but we never use it (and no special settings are needed). When you bring the file into your slicing software the flat part of the model should be the side that's on the print bed w/o having to rotate the model.
The main thing to know is, once you print the gear, on each face, there is one gear tooth that has a little indented arrow. Those are a pair and need to be lined up with each other. Mia included a little tool that helps with alignment (which is why there's a square hole in the middle of the gear).
