A California Scam?
Added 2021-04-01 03:13:28 +0000 UTCUPDATE: Maybe solved. The person who messaged us might have been harassed by someone they knew personally, who also knew they were a patron, and just being a jerk. Not part of a larger scam or anything like that. But, the following's still valid either way:
Hey guys... someone said they got a text from a California number, claiming to be me and that our Patreon was going up to $60/mo. Totally a scam, of course. Did anyone else get such a thing? We don't even have phone numbers for most of our patrons, and we don't send unsolicited texts. If there were any changes we'd certainly announce it here rather than notifying everyone individually and by text.
Thank you to the person who let us know... and that certainly leaves me with a lot of questions... Always somethin' right? Stay safe! (No, this sadly isn't an early April Fools joke)
