Mia Art - Julie's Apartment
Added 2022-05-22 03:04:57 +0000 UTCSometimes Mia sees or experiences something, and she's like, "I need to draw this!" Julie's apartment was one of those times. (This is not for Julie to see, so I'm posting it here. She might not appreciate the drawing as much as everyone else ;) )
Mia and I were visiting NYC in 2009, and we were spending some time with Julie. We were on our way to her apartment and she called us asking if we could come a little later. She wanted to do a little cleaning before we got there. Whatever, it's NY. We found stuff to do.
When we later arrived at her apartment, I think our jaws dropped in unison. It's a tiny place, I get it. Easy for things to not have a place real fast. But the bugs!!! There were bugs, everywhere! In the freezer. In the refrigerator. All over the floor. In the kitchen drawers with the utensils... you name the place, there were bugs! And mountains of Julie-stuff everywhere. Where the hell were we going to sleep?!? Mountains of crap towering on top of more crap. Julie had an outlet by the refrigerator which was empty. The refrigerator was plugged into an extension cord that went into a power strip that plugged into the next outlet that had a ton of other stuff on it, no reason! (A large tag stuck up from the power strip warning not to do specifically that!)
Mia and I helped Jule unearth her floor so we had a place to sleep. (What cleaning did she do... what did it look like before we got there??)
Before we left, Mia and I spent a full day cleaning and organizing the place (which Julie appreciated).
Anyway, just came across this drawing which we never really got to show to anyone since Julie follows all of our social media. Hope you guys enjoyed. :-D
