Introducing: The Best Worst

Hi, Joseph Fink here. Today I'm excited to announce the launch of a new podcast, that I am making with my wife Meg Bashwiner (voice of the Night Vale credits, Deb the Sentient Patch of Haze, and former emcee of the live show).

The Best Worst is a show about the golden age of television, at its best and its worst. Every episode considers a different classic show. First we watch the worst IMDB ranked episode, then we watch the best. We want to see the shows at their worst and their best. What can we learn about tv, about storytelling, and about ourselves? Who knows! Let's find out together.

Our first episode looks at Cheers, from its worst episode (in which Carla must fill in for the neighborhood psychic) to its best (in which Sam and Diane attend a dinner party thrown by Frasier and Lilith). From there, we have already recorded episodes about The X-Files, House, The Office, and more.

At the moment, this show is going to be entirely patreon supported. Joining the patreon gives you access to our biweekly The Middlest episodes, in which we watch the exact most average rated episode. Because shows have their highs and lows, but spend most of their time in that big middle.
