September 2021 Production Update

My current plan is to release 50 Ways 14 in early December 2021. To accomplish this, I need to have 60 clips completed by October 20th. Since I have more time-per-clip to work on part 14 than I did for parts 12 and 13, I’m also hoping to finish them early and start making clips for Part 15 before working on the final edit of Part 14, but something is telling me that I’ll probably be right on time again. Whenever I plan to be early enough for extra credit, I always seem to end up being right on time.

I’m currently slightly ahead of schedule for finishing Part 14 by October 20th, but I’m far behind where I was at this point compared to working on Parts 12 and 13. I have mixed feelings about my progress up to this point. On the one hand, being ahead of schedule is good, but on the other, my strategy is to get the faster-to-make clips out of the way first to give myself a better understanding of how much time I have left to work on the longer-to-make clips. That means the clips I’ve finished up to this point have mostly been the fast-to-make clips, so the remaining clips will probably take longer to make. But back on the first hand again, some of the clips I started with took a lot longer to make than I thought they would, so I’ve actually got a few of the longer-to-make clips out of the way already. It’s difficult for me to gauge how much progress I’ve made at the moment. I hope it will be enough.

I’m also working on some shorts to release alongside Part 14 to draw in more traffic before release. I haven’t made much progress on them, but I don’t think they’ll take much effort to finish. I’m also working on what I hope will be a funny video in which Ned complains about a problem he has with Minecraft that Mojang still hasn’t fixed yet. I’ve got to finish that video somewhat soon, or else Mojang might fix it before I finish the video.
