The Eye of the Nihil arrives just in time for May 4th! Be sure to check out the shop tomorrow for 50% off ALL 3D files - of course you could also just become an annual Specialist member to get every file I've ever made ;)
This helmet was super-complicated, from its design to its separation, it's just an odd helmet. That said, I think we did the best job bringing this book character to life!
The helmet has a few different features so let's review:
The helmet's side "horns" have a 1/4" diameter hole cut through them for a reinforcement rod to be inserted to prevent them from snapping off during wear.
The tubes all use 3/4" diameter holes for real tubing to be substituted for printed ones.
We also tried the same pre-supported feature for the open space behind the 2 filters on the face as our Bo Katan helmet. Find the files named "Mesh Supported" or "Non-Mesh Supported". During our tests they weren't as essential as we thought but I figured I'd leave the files included if others want to try it! Just make sure to clip out the screening before putting in the filter.
The Eye includes a "Stand In" for resin printing but also a vacuum forming buck in case you want to vacuum form your own eye.
Casting, Assembled, Solid versions are also included
Bambu Studio 3MF and GCODE files are included for a Bambu X1 Carbon
Hope you all enjoy!
