Added 2025-01-02 14:19:39 +0000 UTCWhen I first saw this in the Fortnite trailer I knew we had to make it. We're planning on going to Star Wars Celebration in Japan this year and this is the perfect kit to take along for it! Luckily we already had an excellent RotS Vader helmet to build off of so this just took some slight modifications and we were good to go!
The helmet features:
- Assembled and Solid Version
- Vacuum forming lens buck and flat visor template
- Bambu Studio Project and GCODE files
- Pre-Separated Version
- Alternate faceplates for your preferred lens option
- Alternate domes with and without the modeled "strapping"
- Pre-cut parts for smaller printers
- Magnetically attached dome for easy attachment
- Has recessions for 3/4" elastic bands to connect the neck seals
Default scaled to fit up to a 24.5" circumference head.
You have 2 options for the lenses: vacuum formed or flat face shield. Vacuum formed is traditionally more accurate for Vader but the flat face shield will be much easier. You can use the template to cut out the shape you need in a hobart face shield then slot it in the pre-modeled ridge behind the eye sockets.
The armor is nearly ready as well so be on the lookout for that! We're already talking about making a personal build out of these files too so we should have a nice tutorial for you when we're finished!

RIght now I have all these holes and it looks like I am missing the part that inserts or covers the holes? These are the small rectangular shapes that go around the lower part of the dome.

2025-01-04 04:31:37 +0000 UTCI think the faceplate needs to be separated a bit more as when I go to slice it for a Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro it is far too large to be printed on it, no matter how I orient it on the build plate. Otherwise, another great one - intending on making this as a surprise for a friend.
