January 2023 credits processed : New Year Bonus added!

This is just a brief post to let everybody know that I have now processed all the credit allocations due from the start of January.

Many thanks once again to all of you who are supporting this project.

As a new year bonus this month, I have added an extra 150 credits to all Executive Tier member, and 75 to all Faculty Tier member's accounts.
Anybody who joins or upgrades this month will also get this gift from me.

For this month only, I shall also be giving 50 credits to Patrons on the Class Member Tier and 25 credits to Patrons on the Academy Fan Tier.
This offer will run until the end of the month and is for anybody already on either tier or who joins during January 2023.
But you will need to let me know if you want to claim your credits!

I get an automated notification when members join/upgrade to the Executive or Faculty Tiers to let me know that credits are due.

I don't get a notification for Class or Fan members. So these Patrons will please need to contact me to claim their credits.
Just private message me and let me know the email address with which you have set up and account on the dsp3000.games website.
Then I can add your credits!

Covid update

As you may have already read in my previous post, I tested positive for Covid on January 1st.
Three days later, after some epic amounts of sleep, I do feel that I'm beginning to recover. I know it will be a few days more before I'm back to full capacity.
I'm sensible though, my health is very important to me so I promise I won't overdo it.

The credit allocation process took maximum effort to retain the necessary levels of concentration not to screw it up.
Fortunately my developer also built some very useful tools recently to assist the process enormously. The next stage of that will be more automation, because I still need to spend a few hours working through each patron individually to apply credits.

Website update

The other positive whilst going through the database was reviewing how successful the new website updates appear to have been in terms of resolving and removing errors and glitches.
We pushed up several updates a few days before the release of Chapter Seven.
New game saves made after the initial updates were implemented are now looking exactly as they should.
We also implemented some code that should clean up older saves that are used to continue playing from.
There is still a bit of technical debt to overcome but, all in all, the time we have spent in between the Ch6 and Ch7 release dates appears to have been well worth it.

I'm also really happy with the in game page refresh function and the bonus scene replay option. There are several more quality of life features due too.

It's a continual process of monitoring and improving though. But hopefully it will mean I can focus more of my time and energy back on game production rather than troubleshooting website issues.
