Ch10 : Solo Pathway

WARNING! This post contains spoilers!

The solo pathway in Chapter Ten is an alternative continuation to Thursday evening's date with Bridgette.
You can continue the solo pathway from Chapter Nine, or switch from the Bridgette pathway if she has ended your date.

In this episode you can explore on your own and meet up with a range of people in different locations.

The timeline starts at 9:30pm and you initially have a choice of visiting the Viewpoint or the Movie Theatre.

VISITING THE VIEWPOINT : 9:30pm

You can drive up to the viewpoint alone.

There isn't anything to see there other than the view.
However, if you look down to the bottom left of the screen, there is a pile of free cash to collect.

You can use cash in this and later chapters.

The solo visit to the viewpoint is a very brief scene and is only of benefit if you are collecting free cash for use in later chapters.
It may however be expanded as a future game development.

After visiting the viewpoint you have the option to head back into the town or to the movie theatre.

VISITING THE MOVIE THEATRE: 9:30pm

The other/next option is to visit the movie theatre.

When you arrive the first thing to do is buy a movie ticket.

This gives you the opportunity to meet the girl running the ticket booth.

You can talk to her, compliment her choice of jewellery and find out her name.

She can also recommend a movie and mention a party she's going to on Saturday.

When you step away from the booth, look down to find a VIP ticket on the ground.

This can be used at the start of Chapter Twelve if you are still on the solo pathway.

CHOOSING A MOVIE : 10:00pm
There are two movies to choose from.

WISP OF REASON PATHWAY

'Wisp of Reason' is a popular choice with the audience and has a few scenes of nudity.

You can check out some of the female audience members on your way to take a seat.

Apart from witnessing some inappropriate behaviour from a nearby male audience member, there isn't much else to see if you choose this movie.

This pathway will also keep you on a purely solo pathway.

After the movie finishes, the lights come on and you can see a few other fellow audience members as you return to the foyer area.

There is an opportunity to talk to the girls from the audience. They are called Abigail and Summer.

If they liked talking to you then they mention that they are heading to 'The Brass Pole' nightclub later.

If you meet them in Chapter Eleven then they will recognise you.

You can also visit the bathroom on this pathway but it's empty and there is nothing to see there.

OFFICE GIRL PATHWAY

'Office Girl' is a much less popular movie and you get the theatre to yourself.

Fortunately you recieve a text message from Lola suggesting that you hook up with her.

You have a choice to reply and tell her where you are, or ignore the message instead.

This pathway brings Lola into the chapter but only if you reply and tell her where you are.

IGNORING LOLA'S PHONE MESSAGE

If you ignore Lola's message, you just get to watch the 'Office Girl' movie. It's pretty dull but it's over quickly.

When you leave, you can visit the bathroom and have the option to spy on a couple having sex in one of the stalls.

They will catch you watching and you'll need to leave in a hurry though.

Note: It's also possible to visit the bathroom and spy on the couple if you continue the text message conversation and agree to meet Lola outside.
This only occurs on the 'Office Girl' pathway but it's not an option if Lola comes into the movie theatre at all.

REPLYING TO LOLA'S PHONE MESSAGE

Replying to Lola will reveal your location to her and she will continue the text conversation.

You don't necessarily have to commit to meeting up with her, but she will come down to the movie theatre once she knows that you are there.

After watching another section of the movie, Lola messages you to say that she is outside.

You can invite her in to join you or tell her that you will go outside to meet her.

LOLA JOINS YOU IN THE MOVIE THEATRE

If you invite Lola in she will of course join you in the otherwise empty movie theatre.

Lola suggests taking advantage of the empty theatre bringing you to the unlock point for the Ch10Bonus1 : Lola in the Movie Theatre 

You can play through the bonus or leave with her.

LOLA OUTSIDE THE MOVIE THEATRE

Either head outside to meet Lola, or leave with her if she came in to join you.
She suggests heading up to the viewpoint.

This brings you to the unlock point for the Ch10Bonus2 : Lola at the Viewpoint

WITHDRAWING CASH

After watching either of the movies, you have the option to visit an ATM/Cash Machine in the movie theatre foyer.

There are some checkfiles here to prevent you from having too much cash.
If you already have more than 100 cash you can withdraw nothing.

If you have less than 100 then you can withdraw 100 to add to whatever you have.

You cannot however visit the ATM if you leave the building with Lola.

Note: Withdrawing cash will require spending credits. 100 credits gets you 100 cash.

DRIVING FROM THE VIEWPOINT OR MOVIE THEATRE ALONE

As you drive back into the town on your own, you will get pulled over by the police.

This leads to a roadside blood alcohol test.

If you consumed too much alcohol during Chapter Nine then you can fail the test.

There are a few combinations of drinks that would cause this.

Drinking cocktails on the Chapter Nine : Bridgette Pathway would certainly cause you to fail the DUI test.

If you do fail the test and you still have some cash, you can offer a bribe by saying "Is there anything I can do to resolve this?"

It will take at least 100 cash to successfully bribe the corrupt cop though.

If you don't pass the DUI test and fail to bribe the officer then your game will be ended.

Pass the test/bribe the cop and then continue driving back to where you started.

DRIVING FROM THE VIEWPOINT WITH LOLA : 10:30pm

If you drive back into the town with Lola, she shows you a different route.

This avoids getting pulled over by the police.

Lola asks you to drop her off and then come to meet her in 'The Brass Pole' nightclub after you have found somewhere to park your vehicle.

HEADING TO THE BRASS POLE NIGHTCLUB : 11:00pm

You park your car near to the bar from Chapter Nine. It's closed now but you will recieve a text and picture message from Alicia while you are standing outside the doorway.

Alicia also invites you to join her at the Brass Pole nightclub.

There are two ways to go from here.

TURN LEFT/MISS GOODHEAD PATHWAY

After reading the message heading LEFT takes a route where you will pass a parked car.
(Click on the left hand side of the image to do this)

As you approach, you witness Miss Goodhead with a much older looking man getting into the car. They drive away before you get a chance to say anything.

Note: You will not see Miss Goodhead again on Thursday evening.

Continue and play through to the end of Chapter Ten.

TURN RIGHT/DIDI PATHWAY

After reading the message make sure you turn RIGHT as you leave the street to head to the Brass Pole. (Click on the right hand side of the image to do this)

Head down the alleyway, turn the corner and Didi should meet you.

When you strike up a conversation with Didi, she will mention the 'Pink Pussy' stripclub.

When she says, "I'm going to head home now though..."
reply with; "I'd love for you to join me..." or "Why don't you join me for a drink?"

Then when she says, "I'm not really in the mood for a crowded nightclub. It's not really my thing..."
respond with; "We could go to the Pink Pussy instead...?"

Although the resulting dialogue suggests that she is reluctant to join you, the conversation will however plant an idea with Didi.

Didi will return in Chapter Twelve if this conversation, and the suggestion to join you, takes place. 

Continue and play through to the end of Chapter Ten.
