I don’t recall exactly what you said, but people were angry that the main character was killed so early. Actually a lot of fans believed they could have kept Joel alive instead of killing him off so brutally. They were also upset about the fake teaser that showed Joel later in the game, even though in the actual game it wasn’t him. Many felt they weren’t given a chance to choose the ending themselves and that the story forced them down a path they didn’t want.
