Overhauls Are Coming!

Howdy Patrons,

As many of you have seen by now, I am entering a new phase of production. For the first time in more than a year I have a permanent home base, a capable team and the time and energy to begin to focus back into my work and give it the attention it deserves.

Along with new series beginning and old ones making a reappearance, I am also refocusing on many of the parts of my business that have fallen by the wayside over the past year. One of these is, of course, Patreon.

For much of my time on Patreon, my nearly sole deliverable has been early access to upcoming videos. This is something that has been itching in the back of my brain for some time as many of my tiers were made during a life in flux and I have had little capacity to implement the changes that I knew they needed. Yet those of you reading this have stuck with me. And for that I do, hat in hand, want to thank you for your patience and understanding.

In light of this, I will be doing a complete Patreon tier overhaul in the beginning of '24. Keeping some benefits (like early video access don’t worry) but changing and adding brand new ones, many falling into the broad "behind the scenes" category. My goal in creating this new rewards tier is to have deliverables that give you the true "VIP Experience" that you deserve, and ones that I am able to realistically provide indefinitely.

Thank you again for your support, and I am excited to unveil to you the new that each of you so rightfully deserves.

All the best,

Milo Rossi (miniminuteman)

I enjoyed the first video in the new series, it's great! Please also do the fun, humorous videos too - it can be great to have multiple simultaneous series that have different styles, as that allows you to exercise the different creative outlets without sacrificing either the humor or the information. One thing I would love to see, is if you can make some commentary on the accuracy of oral traditions - and how well it is reflected in archeological evidence that is later uncovered. Of course a lot will be inaccurate (we call this "religion", *wink wink*), but perhaps some stories, or some cultures, will have preserved some accuracy in the timescales or stories, and it would be great to know about that. I have a feeling that might be a touchy subject, as no one wants some outside academic telling them that their cherished cultural traditions are inaccurate, but there should be a good way to separate them - or at minimum have an angle of "this is the little that we know so far, and we look forward to learning more to help recount the rich story of this culture." It could probably be done with the history of the Trojan War, as the story is both well-known and archeology in the area isn't subject to quite so many sensitivities.
