John shares how he became interested in true crime, and we follow this with the story of how we met and fell in love - a question we've been asked many times.

Let me say this, every single time I listen to a you tube video I either screen shot or quickly jump to Safari so I can bookmark a piece of literature or study that John has referenced so I can digest at a later date. You also had me at Dostoyevsky. My all time favorite book is The Brothers Karamazov. A huge supporter of the both of you and wish you continued success!

My husband and I have our 40th anniversary this Sunday. I was only 20 when we got married. Crazy kids. Lots of ups and downs, but 40 years, 8 kids and 21 grandkids later, we are still in love! Haha I thought that was so strange. He was completely different from anyone I had ever known and has loved me better than anyone in my life. It's a quiet love and a place of peace for me after an incredibly hard life. Also, John you have taught me so much so please throw haters to the side. I'm a better mother because some of the comments you've made. Lauren I think you are a beautiful soul as well. Keep up the good work and I'm so glad you're here.

Instead, I stayed fully awake, a big grin on my face, with lots of empathic laughter, and great happiness while listening to the story of how you met, and imagining how you must still be thanking your lucky stars that both of you were smart enough and courageous enough to do what had to be done to claim the prize you had found: a chance at real love.

I believe as well my experience with domestic violence and other personal life experiences could be very insightful and full of hope and practical suggestions for those with any challenge in life my hope is to always lead with and from love . I knew at ten I would work with women . Little did I know I , personally , would become a domestic violence survivor. I want my life to be a radiant beacon of hope. I even decorate rocks and when women inevitably find me and share their stories i off them an “enough “ rock. Something to hold to to remind them “ENOUGH” we deserve the very best ! So if any of our hidden gems need some enough rocks . Fortunately my purpose has helped a beautiful number of partners to free themselves from their hells and begin again

The 2 of you just genuinely fit together like the last pieces of a puzzle. I pray to find a friendship/relationship/partnership/love like your's some day! I've had my fair share of messy and unhealthy relationships, and don't get me wrong, going through those is complete garbage. It absolutely sucks. Some of my children were fighting and my kitchen sink broke, when my husband came home from work looking exhausted, I knew that I was getting no time to myself. I like the story of how you two met. I almost didn't listen to this post because I am not generally interested in romantic stories but you two have an awesome story. I'm glad I listened.

But as a deep thinking little kid too- people always saying “why do you even think about these things ?!” I relate to that urge to understand things. And faced with death?i imagine I could have ventured into crime and death topics young. I just stuck with cats,gemstones and psychology books. Until my marriage. When I married - accidentally- a violent possessive controlling jeckyl and Hyde. He has been a nice hippy feminist artist until I was pregnant. So my doubt in my own judgement was in the toilet after I left. This led me to reading about why and how and who serial killers are. And also- how not to raise one!! Thanks for sharing that story John

Maybe read the 2 plus stars- maybe they’ll have some more balanced opinions. Or just ignore them. I think people who have legitimate criticisms or ideas would probably take the time to email or message you. The nasty online culture is gross and hard to shelter yourselves from the public eye, and pointed tongue, but please take care ;-)
