EARLY ACCESS- ADAM COX / REX CONNER Speak to John and Lauren

Join us for the live chat when this premieres for the public tonight, but until then, let us know your thoughts on our interview with Lori Vallow Daybell's brother and uncle.

Behind-the-Scenes: We didn't have long. While we have been talking to Rex and Adam prior to yesterday, this was a last minute interview opportunity and they had an hour max available.  You know HTC loves long form interviews, and I feel we were just getting started when we had to conclude.

Let us know what you think of the interview. What questions would you want answered if we had had another hour or get another opportunity to ask them?

For those who prefer the podcast format, the audio is coming in the next post!

Comments

It will be very interesting to see Annie Cushing debunk and compare everything Adam said in this interview to actual facts.

Sara Campbell

Great talk!

Carla Perkins

Oh, my. I think he needs to sit down and shut up.

It's bizarre isn't it? You're doing a book and a podcast and purportedly trying to process all this trauma, yet you're going to completely ignore and block out one important and powerful perspective on it? Why? What are you afraid to hear and consider? To add all that stuff about loving her on top of it just feels disingenuous and like a way to deflect criticism: I'm completely ignoring her but I LOVE her so it's fine, nothing to see here.

Oh oh okay last comment: I didn't like how Rex was like "yeah I respect Megan's opinion so that's why I'm not even going to listen to her side".... Absolutely blows my mind. I'm smelling some denial

Oh also I feel like Adam deflected so so fast when he was asked about possible SA in the family which kinda gave me the heebie-jeebies.

Adam’s comments at the end about Tylee were horrifying. Honestly the worst words I’ve heard spoken….. like maybe ever. “Spunky girl. It was cute when she was little but…. but don’t worry, she got involved in the young women’s program and the Morms were able to tame her properly”.

Andrea C

Brilliantly stated by Rex: Love is unconditional; relationships are not. Lori has certainly left a legacy of destruction to many families especially her very own. I hope they can mend and rebuild those relationships that Lori did her damnedest to tear apart with murder and lies. And yes, there are people for whom the death penalty is probably an appropriate punishment. But for a vain Lori who wants to be so special, sitting in prison day after day, watching her beauty fade and losing all control over her choices and environment is probably far more fitting punishment.

Interesting how Adam downplayed the abuse question in the beginning but brought in later the possible sa from a teacher. Excellent interview as usual. Looking forward to their podcast.

Lisa Ish Galindo

I'm so glad you asked about Tylee.

Another great Lauren and John interview! Looking forward to their podcast and more discussions with them and hidden true crime.

Question for Adam. He says that Lori’s command was for everyone to cut him off and they did so. How long has Lori been commanding and controlling the entire family’s behavior?
