Questions for my supporters~
Added 2018-01-19 04:47:37 +0000 UTChiya everyone ^^
so with this new year, and a few hits below the belt from patreon T_T (thank god they fixed that...)
i think i want to take my patreon to the next level and change up some things around my page. I want to focus more on building a community with you all instead of just posing goodies once a month and checking every so often. I feel disconnected from my furry community and wanted to bring that back ^^
Im thinking of changing the tiers around, adding a few more higher tier options and giving some more goods to the lower tiers, doing some livestreams, hang outs possibly, polls on what to draw next, or me teaching y'all some skills perhaps?
But before i change anything i wanted to ask some questions from yall ^^
1 - what are some things you'd like to be rewarded with?
2 - is there anything you'd be upset about loosing/changing on this page?
3 - would you be interested in a discord server? google hang outs? or once a month livestreams ?
4- do you like the packs your currently getting? or would you prefer a monthly pinup with alt versions (like a sfw and a nsfw version, so you can use one as a wallpaper n one for sexy times~)
so what are your thoughts guys, galls n fluffer butts~

Yeah I figured out the shift-enter trick :)

2018-01-22 02:53:33 +0000 UTCI'm already very happy with the $100 tier. It is a very hassle free way of getting a commission from you. As for growing your community, a poll to influence what you draw does sound like a good idea. Maybe make it so everybody can vote and $5+ can make suggestions for the poll. And don't forget to post the works you are getting done. Maybe post everything at least low resolution stuff to Patreon a week before your other sites and keep the hi-res stuff as packs like you are currently doing. As others have said, make sure to keep your name out there to promote and grow your base.

2018-01-20 15:20:31 +0000 UTCI just want to jump in and piggy back off what Latency is saying. Optics are very important to growing a community. Just did a quick look over at your FA, not sure if you have other galleries as I'm barely active anywhere, but you had a posting break from non adopts from Aug 10th 2017 till Jan 15th of 2018. That's a lot of time not getting fresh eyeballs on your art. I don't think you need to lock up everything behind Patreon as FA does a great job of down scaling work meaning your full quality posts will always be here. Getting those lower res ones onto FA gets you valuable optics on your work and your Patreon page. You're looking at about... oh let's say 1200 views average on your new works in the first week of posting them on FA. Every view is a potential new Patreon member. Every non adopt post is a sign you are working away on stuff of awesome quality. Everything you do and post to the wide world is advertisement by virtue of being scene. I won't beat around the bush, you are one of the best artists in the biz. Your attention to detail in your painted images are astounding. It's basically all about marketing right now and FA posting will be a big key to that. I know you've got a few pieces of mine finished you haven't posted up yet. Feel free. Lord knows I'm dying under the weight of my backlog sorting and won't get to them for a while myself! Grab those eyeballs and keep um focused on you for a while and you'll get the interest to get events like streams and discords going in full swing. Another idea is the multistream! It's a great way to get more optics and have fun doing art with other artists. Stream with friends, hop into other artist's you like's streams and make more friends and stream with them. Hell if you want some people to talk to about it and to dip your toes into the discord waters my little Cards Against Humanity discord has grown into pretty much the unofficial discord for a few artists that multistream together when schedules line up. I run a very civil ship if ya want to come aboard and take a peek. Though your presence would totally give a couple people heart attacks :P

2018-01-20 14:23:15 +0000 UTCHoly crap Hun thanks for all the helpful feedback ^^ shall definitely see if I can work some of your suggestions into my patreon ~ As to the advertising, and drawing my own characters, hell I’d love to do those things. Just wasn’t sure if advertising too much over the furry sites would become annoying to folks ^^; And I feel like if people are giving me there hard earned money I should be accommodating them on what they’d like to see drawn, and I feel like that’s me drawing there characters not mine ^^; but I want to draw more of my characters think that’ll be my first new goal 1 drawing of one of my OCs a month for sure ^^ Thank you for all the love n support Hun ~ and all the feedback yet again ~ And shift + enter is how I separate paragraphs ^_-

2018-01-20 08:57:48 +0000 UTCDawww ^^ yay I’m happy you like it so far Hun ~ and thank you for the feedback. I do want to grow the community here, I’m pondering better ways to get more involved, so I’m leaning twords the discord server, more frequent posts thro the server so people can see what I’m working on that day ^^ but I’m not quite sure if that would be interesting enough for folks ^^;

2018-01-20 08:52:41 +0000 UTCAnd lastly before I go to bed, having a couple characters that you draw routinely, not necessarily comics though I love those, can grow a sense of community via mutual fandom. I think the best example of this I can come up with off-paw is Vader-San. He doesn't draw many (any?) comics, but most of his OCs show up multiple times in his art, and have gathered a sort of fan base of their own. This also provides fodder for "Ask a Question" style interaction, which you can offer as another reward tier item. If you enjoy that kind of thing.

2018-01-20 08:42:41 +0000 UTCBasically, if you want to log in to discord or patreon every day and talk to your fans, and you give them that, you'll probably see that community start to grow. Also... I'd work on awareness. Most people on FA don't visit the frontpage of artists sites that often. They are drawn in via the gallery, or journals. The last mention of Patreon in your gallery or journals that I can find is March 2017. Don't be afraid to advert it a bit!

2018-01-20 08:27:00 +0000 UTCHmm, so enter just posts... wanted to start a new paragraph... oh well, continuing... developing a community will probably need to attract more people, which means discovering what your watchers on various other platforms want, right? Both the other replies talked about adding things to the $100 tier, which is clearly successful already because it is already full (and if you had one more spot, I know I'd take it). (gosh I have hit enter SO MANY TIMES while composing this). Anyway, not to be a downer, but this patron feels a lot, currently, like just a way to pay for (early) commission access in advance. I will be honest that this is the reason I came here. That, and because I like your art and want to support you doing more of it. I subscribe to something like 30 patreons, typically just to support the artists, but at the highest level where I feel there is a good value, so I feel I have a good pulse on what makes a patron community. The biggest thing that seems to drive patreon becoming more than just a commission farm or a paywall, is interactive content. Exclusive streams, and streams where you draw content that users vote on or choose during the stream can be popular. Polls (I notice that the $15 group hasn't been polled in a while). But more than anything, you need to have fun and enjoy it. If it's just a job for you, the community probably won't find it fun either.

2018-01-20 08:14:13 +0000 UTCFrankly, I'm not sure we're the right people to ask. I don't know if the numbers are accurate, but Patreon says you have 15 patrons. I suspect most of us are either here for the high rez artwork or (more likely) the preferred commission slot access (this is backed up by the fact that all commission slots are taken 6, and the high resolution feed has 7, only 3 backers at the WIP/sketches/etc... level, though price might have something to do with it.

2018-01-20 08:13:44 +0000 UTCI'm very happy with the $100 tier as it's a great way to ensure I can commission you. I work very odd hours so I'm never awake whenever "Commissions open!" journals get posted. I'd love to see the token system expanded to cover your full line of commission work. Streams would be great even though I probably can't make them, Darn night shift. A discord is great for growing a community. The art packs are great and I do enjoy poking through them. Tutorials would be very interesting just to see how you do all the amazing things you do. Another idea would be to post more WIPS during the month rather than a bid dump at the end. Would give good optics and increase the activity on the patreon. You could still just bundle um up at the end of the month.

2018-01-19 10:00:09 +0000 UTCRighto ~ comics is a good idea. I’ll put that on my ideas board ^^

2018-01-19 05:25:30 +0000 UTC1 - You should add Comics as for Patreon Rewards, because 100 dollars per month is a lot. 2. - Your page is fine 3. A Discord server is nice, I am active on discord 4. Well I do prefer hyper endowed character, but that is just me.
