Curses & You! : What’s New @ the Table

Have a curse? Here’s some curse facts! The finale of Shooting the Moon went up in the main feed last week, but if you enjoy the setting of that game then fret not, we’ve actually returned to it several times since. For $5 tier patrons and up, you can listen to our game of Good Society or our most recent foray, Grandpa’s Farm.

I can keep going. Twilight Mirage 62: The Feast of Patina aired on Sunday. It’s a messy holiday dinner with family members who should know better but clearly don’t, an event awkwardly mythologized over time, and unbelievably there is only a single episode of buffer between it and the start of Twilight Mirage’s 4-part finale, Futura Free.

Systems, am I right? Part 16 of Ali’s Fields of Mistria streams is up on our Youtube channel. I’m obsessed with her cozy winter beret and you should be too.

Bonus! “I always wow readers with my bonus section.” Normally when I write these update posts I have a rule that even though they go out on Tuesday, the cutoff for items to include is Sunday. I’m breaking that rule this week though, because on Monday Austin opened pre-orders for the ashcan edition of the upcoming TTRPG Realis

For those who haven’t encountered the term before, ashcan editions are essentially edited-down beta versions of a game that allow players to take it for a spin early and offer feedback before the full release. I’m not going to get too deep in the details since I know Austin will want to talk about it at greater length here in the near future (there's an update about it on his blog as well), so keep your eyes peeled here (and also on the main feed) this week for more.

You can visit the pre-order page on itch.io to get a look at what’s included (including some of the stunning art done by Sam Beck & Oddesque) and while you’re clicking on stuff maybe also check out this two-part interview Austin did with Rascal about how Realis came to be. (Part 1, Part 2) Also check out Austin's Bluesky, where he's been sharing feedback, fanart and stories from many early playtesters.

Comments

It seems silly, but I really enjoy getting these updates. Good work Janine!
