So the running gag here is that I hate my lettering, apparently, because this is another one that has me groaning, but I won't spend much time on that.

I love this strip, and it's interesting because it's not one that I think about a ton. To be fair, I don't think about many strips SUPER often, but there are some that clearly standout in my mind when I think back on the body of work I've created, and this one isn't one that immediately comes to mind. That said, revisiting it just now reminds me how much I like it.

It's so simple. They save an elderly woman, Bruce gets smooched against his will, the end. But I think I managed to get the little things right.

I love how in panel one, Bruce is just standing on the chest of the knocked out criminal. I love that I had the wherewithal to make it so the woman can't bend down to give them a thank-you-smooch, allowing Clark to take matters in his own hands. I love panel three, where Clark is hoisting Bruce and his little legs are FLAILIN' in an attempt to stop the inevitable, and finally, I do love the final panel.

It's kind of funny in that I never really equated JL8 with goofy Batman faces until way later in strip #156, but it turns out I was going pretty broad with it as early as this installment, and I think this one really works well. It straddles the line between grumpy and silly in just the right way for me. I'm super proud of it.

I don't have much more to add, because like I mentioned above, it's a pretty straight-forward strip, but one I'm very happy with. Any chance to poke fun and Bruce's anti-social tendencies is a favorite of mine.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I'll talk to you again soon! Take care!
