Still holds up.

This was just one of those ideas that came from lived experience and I thought would resonate with a lot of people. When I was young, my friends and I would do this exact thing as we traversed the halls of our school, and I can't imagine we were the only ones, and it's pretty clear I was correct, as I always get comments from folks saying they did the same thing.

Beyond the relatability of it, I liked the idea that the Marvel characters were pop-culture icons in the JL8 world the same as they are in ours, and that the kids were fans.

The bit I'm probably most proud of is that when Clark shows up, he's flying. Playing Spider-Man with his best friend is better than FLYING UNDER YOUR OWN POWER.

And yes, I know the proper onomatopoeia is "thwipp," but a) I never knew any kids that made that sound while pretending to web-swing and b) it's funnier that they get it wrong.

'Til next time, everyone. Have a great weekend!
