Seems likely that it was Alex that walked in on her killing Stephanie, and poor Daniel just had the misfortune of learning the truth through his calling. I guess we’ll see in the next chapter

I love the way Violet rationalized her actions. It’s interesting with all the future excerpts. It seems to paint the picture that Violet got away with all her killings. And it was only really found out or confirmed after her death. It makes me wonder how she died? Did she die of old age? I kind of doubt that. And with the way, the monsters ignore her, I doubt she died in action. So I’m guessing she was probably killed by a person? Probably. but I also suppose she could’ve faked her death. And still be alive. With the amount of people were talking about the violet in the future, it makes it seem like she’s pretty important/infamous figure. But I suppose these musings at the start of each chapter could be from the same person. and thus not necessary, mean she was that prolific of a character. I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Manipulate him to stay silent until a better opportunity arrives? Or can he be trusted to never tell anyone that she killed the lancer?
