Theran's a very capable fighter but he is currently unarmed, outnumbered. and trying to keep an eye on his friends. Even he has his limits.
I might tweak panel 7 of page 578 before release to show the Fennec mage to his side. Probably through a change of 'camera' angle. We'll see. :3
