People who consider themselves vehemently straight or gay can often find their 'allegiance' straying for specific individuals of the gender they aren't normally attracted to, and the rabbithole only gets deeper and more complex when asexuality and others are bought into it.
Duk, however, still knows who he is, in spite of this Volkhan-inspired crisis of personality. It just took the right words from Arc to remind him that deviation from the norm isn't a sign you're changing forever.
