2023-08-14 13:16:30 +0000 UTCThey haven't even reached the halfway point in Hunter x Hunter yet (getting close though), so we won't be seeing a poll to replace it in the near future. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. I'd like to see them watch Monster, but it's not popular enough to win a poll. I'm hoping it gets a boost in awareness / name recognition when the Pluto anime comes out later this year (same author).

2023-08-11 23:51:27 +0000 UTCThere's a process to this. First we recommend the down to earth stuff like Monster or Death Note. Then we introduce them to more crazy stuff like HxH. Then once they're comfortable with anime as a whole we hit them with the "wtf am I watching" stuff like JoJo or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Then final phase: Bollywood.

You really can't judge the polls based off the comments. Besides Jojo's has lots of emotions you just have to read between the lines. Part 3 does have a lot of dull episodes though.

2023-08-11 21:47:53 +0000 UTCmany people in the comments wrote they voted for Cyberpunk because it was the shortest (well i voted for it for the same reason since I didn't watch any of those anime). Jojo has many fans, I like some seasons of the anime (and I really enjoyed Steel Ball Run race in the manga) but it's not the kind of anime I want to see them react too tbh. Berserk I've read just the manga. To me Haikyuu makes perfectly sense because most of the episodes are entertaining, I don't think that's the case with Monster and Jojo. For example with HxH in 99% of the episodes there is at least 1 scene I want to see them react to, in the next episode there are 3!!! 🤩. With Monster and Jojo I can think about few moments...their comments after the episodes are always interesting but I follow them mostly to empathize with their emotions

2023-08-11 15:35:03 +0000 UTCI don't know where people get the impression the girls don't like Blood and Guts and Sex. They're enjoying Cyberpunk just fine. I used to think Berserk would be a bad fit but not anymore. It has a very similar theme to Vinland Saga but it's so much more in depth. Every character that's given more than a few lines is multi-dimensional and well written. Not to mention Griffith. I'd vote for Berserk if it came up. It's short though so it should replace Cyberpunk. Personally I'm hoping Jojo's Bizarre Adventure replaces HxH.

There it should be at least one arc from Gintama also which is top tier and I never watched one piece, but it's possible to also have a top tier arc.
