My First Job of 2020! 🥳

Last week I had my first paying job of 2020, haha. At least it wasn't a complete write off! Shout out to the Japanese government for hiring me to promote the Olympic Host Towns around Japan 🙏

So you're probably not familiar with what a host town is, I wasn't until this project either, but it's a cultural exchange program that the Japanese government has set up to pair cities around Japan with countries that are participating in the Olympics. Those cities will then cheer on their partner country during the games, set up cultural exchange activities, and hopefully create a longterm connection through this partnership project.

My first stop on the job was Shiwa, Iwate! It's actually only about 45min away from where I live, so that was super convenient! I got to choose what I wanted to share from the area so of course I chose the beautiful Shiwa Inari Shrine. They only want me to post a quick video on my Instagram stories to promote each location, but I took lots of extra photos so I wanted to share them with you guys ❤️

Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto is of course the most impressive of the Inari Shrines, but there are Inari Shrines all throughout Japan - and the rest of them are way less crowded 😅To get to Shiwa Inari Shrine, hop off the train at Shiwa-Chuo Station, and it's just a 15min taxi ride away.
