Friday (not exactly) Favourites 🍒 Ep. 9

Hey guys! Happy Friday from Japan❤️

This week's post isn't exactly a Friday Favourites, but more of a behind-the-scenes look of what I've been up to lately! I tend to get into periods where I'm just filming a whole bunch of videos and don't have much time to edit or do much else, this is definitely one of those times😂

Last week I went on a solo adventure to Aizu Wakamatsu in Fukushima for a little onsen holiday/remote working trip. Aizu is one of my favourite spots in all of Japan and I really wanted to make another video there. The Japanese government is currently encouraging those of use who work from home to consider renting a hotel or onsen resort for a few nights to help out the local tourism industry which is currently having a really tough time. It's been really sad seeing so many restaurants and hotels having to permanently close their doors as they haven't been able to survive this year, so I'm more than happy to spend some money in hopes of helping out some of my favourite locations🙏

At the moment I'm currently in Yamagata Prefecture! Natsuki invited me over to show me around his town, it's been really nice! It's a quiet seaside town with quite a low population, so there aren't any crowds around and it feels quite safe. Yamagata is famous for cherries🍒- so we went all-you-can-eat cherry picking with Chris (video coming soon!) and spent some time at the beach taking photos and searching for seashells. This weekend he'll be doing my hair and we're going to go shopping for local souvenirs (will probably make another video about those, as they have some cool stuff around here!) 

All in all it's been a very productive couple of weeks, now to find some time to edit! 💪
