My lovely Airbnb lol 🙃

We spent 3 days in Kyoto along with Kim Dao to film some videos for the Tokyo Creative channel, but I vlogged some clips here and there of what we got up to - thought I’d put together a fast-paced montage style video of our 3 days there! Working on that now.

So at the moment I’m in Tokyo for work, and I’m staying at an AirBnb. I swung a deal with them to stay here for free for a week if I did a room tour of the place on my Instagram - but it’s not turning out as planned😅 The room looked so lovely in the photos on the site but when I arrived it was really dirty (I found someone’s underwear?!) BUT WAIT. The best part is there’s a floor-to-ceiling window with no curtain that gives the neighbors a clear view of you on the toilet. GREAT. Oh and when I tried to get my key from the mailbox the code didn’t work, so after trying and failing for 10 minutes to get it open I phoned the guy and he tried to explain to me how to do it. I assured him I was doing it correctly as I have a similar mailbox at home and I know how they work. Finally after 15 minutes of trying to get it open with his instructions, he goes, oh wait I think I gave you the wrong code. And he had, lol. On top of that I can’t get the front door to lock from the outside so I’m scared to leave to go grocery shopping. Why is everything going wrong😂

So I messaged them and told them I’m sorry but I can’t advertise this place to my followers, and asked if I could just pay for it instead. Waiting for a reply but honestly no matter what they say I am NOT advertising this room. You’d think if anything they would’ve put some extra care into cleaning it knowing I’d be filming??? Unfortunately it’s really expensive ($180 a night) and had I known it was going to turn out like this I would’ve just stayed at a hotel which would’ve been more affordable.
