Hey everyone!
I know, I know—this Monday update is creeping dangerously close to Tuesday, depending on your time zone. But as a wise man somewhere in the world surely said:
"Better late than never."
And with that, I come bearing gifts! The proof of concept for Teacher’s Trap is now live and available for supporters to test and enjoy.
Proof of concept (Teacher's Trap)
For those of you diving in and taking the time to play, I cannot stress enough how valuable your feedback is. You’re the reason I create these games, and without your insights, there’s no point in me continuing. Your thoughts help shape the experience, so don’t hesitate to let me know what you love, hate, or feel lukewarm about—it all matters.
The Intro:
The game opens with a narrator, who brings a touch of snark and charm to the table. The narrator appears at key moments—like the intro, the start of a chapter, and the end. I’m personally very fond of how he sounds, as it really matches the tone of the story I’m crafting. But hey, if he doesn’t vibe with you, I’ll admit, it would sting a bit! So, let me know what you think of him.
Day 0:
I’m calling this Day 0 because it serves as a soft launch into Chapter 1. Think of it as setting the stage, the mood, and giving you a sense of direction for where this game is headed. It’s also a sneaky way to introduce you to the game mechanics—yes, it’s a tutorial, but it’s disguised to feel more organic. You’ll get a chance to get acquainted with the game’s flow, gameplay elements, and overall structure.
The Maps:
All maps are fully rendered and explorable! You can visit different locations, but interactions with characters are not yet possible.
The Students:
Every student has been designed and placed throughout the game world. They can be spotted in various areas, but you can’t interact with them just yet.
The Family:
At home, Klara and the rest of the family are part of their daily routines, but again, no interactions are available... for now.
School Mechanics:
The school system has been built, but I’m still fleshing out the finer details. There’s a lot more work going into how this will impact your progress and gameplay.
Character Stats:
Stats are in place for all characters, but you’ll mostly just get a sneak peek at how this will play out in the future.
The Phone:
Yes, the in-game phone works! Currently, it’s a way to track character stats, but more functionality is coming.
Trust me, when the jump from version 0 to version 0.1 drops, you’ll see a huge difference. More features will be accessible, interactions will open up, and you’ll start to see the world I’ve envisioned come to life.
For now, enjoy what’s here, dive in, and don’t forget to hit me up with your thoughts!
With all my love,
Stay safe, stay healthy,
Fluffy ❤️
