I didn't have much time in the last two months, therefore I just watched these last episodes. It was a nice journey. About Cartaphilus and Joseph: Cartaphilus is inside Chise. His undying curse is battling with the dragon's curse therefore Chise won't die yet. At some point in the future the dragon's curse will kill her and Cartaphilus will be released again. That's why Elias said that Cartaphilus won't be around for a few decades
